Kinda yes, but you box it in from the sides. Instead of the top. I think TGA Subcool made this technique popular up this way. I could be mistaken on that. I get my facts crossed sometimes lol
 
Yeah man, it is cool...With a little research, its called, whorled phyllotaxy... Most end up as males... Strange how my "bag seeds" seem more stable than these seeds I'm getting off breeders...

That's because most of the breeders on say, Herbies, giving the "Freebies" are F1 and F2 beans... they're not stabilized yet.
 
Yeah... It's just strange how I've finally brought seeds and I've had so far a variegated plant (samsara spiritual punk) and now, your right freebie, now a whorled phyllotaxy.. This is out of six breeders beans, that's some strike rate, lol....

Yea it blows getting unstable seeds that you need to stabilize yourself lol. This practice by seeds companies should be stopped for good. I didn't watch my buddies die face down in the mud, so these strumpets could give out unstable seeds.(movie reference)
