Hey Grizz, hey all. In regard to square grow bags, I made my own out of vertical garden felt, not too expensive, and they are whatever size you want, I made mine 35*35*45 cm deep, worked well, but quite heavy to lug around.

I've used grow bags from the beginning. Had some 3 gallon ones that I got on Amazon. Upgraded to some 5 gallon ones from eBay on this last grow. The 5 gallon ones are nicer, with handles and better material. Not to mention they were way cheaper. However they were shipped from China and took several weeks to arrive. The concept of air pruning roots does work. When I've emptied the pots after a harvest, none of the roots were circling the pots. I can't comment to changing the flavor of anything, but I would doubt so.

PS, if you like square pots, they do make square bags, but your options on who carries them decreases significantly.
 
Yeah Grizz, I'm quite handy with the sewing machine, lots of practice repairing the dodgy jobs the wife does.
 
I make my own on a machine but I bought a couple on the weekend for about 4-5 bucks each from a hydro shop..
Rhizopots is the brand. Not bad for the money..
 
Put them in a rectangle, be 2'x 1'5" might be a little real estate around them...
