GrizzWalds - Aussie Indoor/Outdoor - Choose Your Own Adventure

Hello vladputin and welcome... You got a journal going for your bubba? I'll come over if you have.. Can't wait to flip and get the show on the road with her, I've had enough fun with topping her etc I wouldn't mind seeing flowers now, lol...

Dennise :circle-of-love: how was today?

Heirloom :passitleft: I could go back to sleep now.

Ajagunle, it pays to be a slave

I kinda missed this the other night 777, sorry mate.. Awesome man, you must be happy that lot 30-60 broke ground, lol... What lighting you got? End up getting leds? Everybody else's tents seem to do that compared to mine.. I grow turtles

I'm liking the gnatnix on top of pots.. It has an immediate effect on the gnats.. With the matting underneath, it's also serving another purpose for me in displacing the water more evenly around the plant.. I end up dumpling my water in which can divot the top of soil, gnatnixis stopping this from happening. They must have used recycled self levelling glass, lol..

I like a 1.5L pump up sprayer set to spray rather than stream. Easier to control the amount and less potential for pooling or running. Better over all distribution, even right to the pot/soil boundary where it's likely to run the most. Takes more time though. I was doing it in small quantities 2-3 times through out watering or feeding day, like a slow soak.

That's a good idea, Heir.. Might try that one.

im just impatient at times, not all but most  should get pump sprayer. Got a 8lt one but don't think my plants would like a herbicide, although the ones on my driveway seem to use it as fertiliser

And please don't tell me off about the herbicide. It an organic renewable blah blah thing that works for a week then they are back,lol... I struggled for 5 years pulling weeds out of my gravel muddy driveway to no effect. And I struggle walking past round up and not buying it but it's a fight I'm winning for my little environment

Your kidding, Grizz. Don't feel guilty. Round-up for the weeds is the Australian way!
As long as you're not crop-dusting your entire town, it's fine..
Although, they found last year that Round-Up, like everything else we touch, eat or use for work, etc, can cause cancer.....

Certainly is around here.. Head dude of Aus branch owns a farm here.. We live in thick rainforest. Next town up gets most rain days in Australia, it's wet and green here. Driving along the road, it's all green lush farms, tree ferns lining the roads and properties. Get to his, it looks like a typical cattle farm in outback Queensland/nt, it's bizarre.. Dry, dusty & lifeless.. It always struck me when I first got here, stands out so much, made perfect sense when I found out who owned it..

I've considered using a cheap bloom booster and burning weeds to death with P or K. Boron works.

Mate I had water bubbling in middle of my driveway. Like a pipe had broken.. Nieighbours (never used holiday house) hot water service had broken..through backside of my property, under my house, under front part of property and coming out in driveway...I have five neighbours surrounding mine. One either side and two units out back. Live in the middle of nowhere and it's still the burbs...

How long does it take for banana peel to become available?

Instantly if soaked... Google..

That's hilarious! Evil Monsanto Wizard doing all kinds of experiments... Like a cartoon bad-guy; is his house on a hill covered in black clouds with random lightening strikes even during the day??
The only permanant way to remove weeds is to pull them. Or live in a bubble so bird-shit and wind can't carry seeds onto your property.
Some idiot at some stage covered half my yard in plastic "weed" deterrent; still tons of weeds cos most don't come from the soil, and I've got tiny bits of orange and black plastic all over my yard, in my compost (that I angrily search for and remove from every bloody handful), all over the lawn..... God, I hate plastic weed mat.. What a scam...

It's great stuff to put on top of your pots then have gnatnix on it to reuse

That's a good idea.. My luck though I'll end up with flowering dandelions, lol.
