Greenhouse Seed Co Kalashnikova - Soil - CFL - Indoor

Day 34. Looking great! She started slow in the soil cup, but since the transplant the Kalashnikova has really put out some good growth. Just checked on her and she's still moist from the soaking I gave her last week. No need for water. I anticipate ill be watering her again on Thursday, almost a full week later. I can see roots poking out the bottom.

I'm thinking about cutting clones on Sunday. That would give her 5 more days. Let me know what you all think. Only plan on taking 3-4 cuttings, and setting her outside while the cuttings root in jiffy pellets for the hempy setup.

Hope you enjoyed the previous pics of Yosemite and Half Dome. That bear was f'n huge! Anyway, on to the pics. Next update Thursday.

Just a small tip, I would try DEF to uproot her, you are wasting really valuable space up there!! fill the whole bucket with soil if you have some left, she will develop roots after couple of weeks. Looking real sexy that Kalashnikova!

Noted Sinsemillas. I'm out of soil, so that was the reasoning behind that. I'm not worried about it. I know she'd benefit from the extra soil though. Next time.

Day 36. Start of week 6. Time actually flies when you're not stressing about your plants. My first growing experience, I was a wreck. Constantly checking on the seed to see if it had cracked, poking through the soil to see what was taking so long. Impatience is a bitch! I learned early though to just leave her alone and let nature take its course. I read a lot of journals here and elsewhere, and we always mess up our own grows. It's never natures fault! So now, I just leave her the hell alone and let her grow. And she does.

Still no water today. That makes a full week without having to water again. Soil still plenty moist, and the pot is heavy. Pulled her out to take a canopy shot. So green! I was worried about this strain at the start. Not anymore. I couldn't be happier with the way she looks and the growth she's putting on. Next update Friday. Pics!

Day 38. Soil was still moist but I watered the Kalashnikova today anyway. Looking very healthy and growing up strong. Starting to really get some shoots popping out all over. Should be cloning soon. Not too much to update on. But as always, new pics.

Day 40. Got some shots of the side branching hidden under the large fan leaves. This Kalashnikova really grows short and stout. Can't wait to flower.

I'm going camping this weekend. This summer has been amazing. Might go for a short hike and check out a waterfall. Going to do some fishing, swimming and shooting. Ill make sure to take plenty of pics.

Anyway, on to the softcore porn.

Wow, im really exited about this strain as well. Im growing 4 different strains now, and Kalashnikova is def. the shortest one!. Thanks for the pictures. One thing it seems to me, besides look green and healthy and bushy, it would seem she might be getting slightly more water then she needs! :) Irie, hope you have a good trip!

Hey Sinsemillas. She does look droopy. I'm thinking that's why you mentioned she may be getting more water than she needs. I just woke her up before this pic was taken, so that's why she's so droopy. I let her go for a week between waterings so I don't think that's the case, but I've been wrong before.

On a side note, I love growing my own Cannabis! I wish I had room for more. Really looking forward to this girl in flower. Thanks to Rune and OG for the comments too. I'll keep updating with pics every 2-3 days.

Thought I'd throw up a couple more pics. I meant to raise the lights earlier today and it slipped my mind. I opened the tent to find the lights barely off the top of the plant. Pulled the lights back 2 inches. I also tucked some fan leaves after I shot these pics. The side shoots should enjoy the direct light as a result. Also, check out the pistols. She's showing off her girly parts.

Thanks Rune. So the plan was to clone off this girl and put her outside, and run a hempy setup inside. Plans have changed!! Ill be flowering this girl indoors and when she's done, ill crack another seed for the hempy setup. Ill be changing the light schedule tonight. I'm a little disappointed but its not a big deal. The outdoor location just isn't going to work, and I don't want to risk it. Better safe than sorry.

I see easyrider!!, so thats what it was then, good shes in good hands!. I topped my Kalashnikova today, I know shes really branchy, but I want to keep her real low, to make as much as an scrog as I can (not proper Scrog, just not tall). Are you letting her grow au naturel? :)
Irie, :rasta:

Yes Sinse. I topped one of my Northern Lights last year and got 4 colas, but I actually yielded less than just growing her out naturally. I just don't have the light output to support it I think. I'm going to be defoliating throughout the flowering process, just taking the big fan leaves to get the light to penetrate. Should help with the yield. Flipped the lights last night to 12/12. That's 41 days of veg, the longest I've ever gone in my small tent. Hope she doesn't outgrow it! Only 60 days to go..

Day 42. Day 1 of 12/12. Thought I'd throw up some pics before I leave for the weekend. Heading out camping and watered her very well for the 4 days ill be gone. She looks amazing. Very green and very healthy. The leaves I tucked under had mostly popped back through by the time I checked on her today. They really fight to find the light. I couldn't be happier with this strain so far. Hopefully she flowers well under less than 100 watts of cfl's. I've never weighed my harvests, but I imagine I've pulled about an ounce off each plant, which for me lasts a few months. I smoke a few days a week, but I'm a very light smoker. A half a bowl is plenty and I'm good. This Kalashnikova should yield just fine for me. Considering her genetics of Ak47 x White Widow, I think she'll smoke very well. Can't wait!

Day 46. Day 5 of 12/12. Just got back from a great weekend of camping in the Sierras. Smoked some Girl Scour Cookies around the campfire and shared some funny stories with some close friends. We really enjoyed ourselves. It's been a great summer.

The Kalashnikova did very well on her own. No issues at all. She's still plenty moist. No need for water. Ill let her go at least a couple more days before she'll need any. The smell to this point has been minimal. I think I mentioned early on that I've never run any fans in or around my tent. I simply keep the top vent open and crack the bottom vents. Heat rises and escapes out the top, and cool air comes in at the bottom. The tent stays warm but not hot at all. Never had any heat issues, and she doesn't seem to mind the lack of airflow.

My bedroom door stays closed at all times with the corner window cracked. It smells a little, but only in the room. It rarely reaches any other part of the house. I'm thinking roughly 60 days left. So far, she's been a breeze. Lets hope it stays that way. On to the pics.

Finally got an update on the KANNABIA SEEDS Thai Fantasy Auto that is growing outdoors at my buddy's house. He just transplanted today. Not sure what day we're on with that one, but its about 1 month in. The first pic was taken on July 12, and the second pic taken today right after the transplant. I'm heading over there tomorrow, so I'll get some more pics then.

As for the Kalashnikova, update coming this evening.
