Green Gelato From Seed: Thin Mint Cookies x Sunset Sherbet

August 18th.Watered remaining 3 plants with 1 gallon of water each. Plant #4 has amber Tricombs present and will plan on cutting down this week. Trimmed up sugar leaves on drying colas on # 2 plant.

August 21st. Chopped down #4 plant which was Manifolded to 16 main colas and was the smallest plant also it had leaves shaped more like a Indica plant. As a note this plant’s Hoops where covered in resin. In the picture of this plant which I have hanging behind the already drying plant from earlier last week it appears this one will produce more and I guess the final dry weight will tell.

Hey Chungo! Congrats on the chop of #2 & #4. Those nugs look amazing man! You're gonna have a large haul with these 4 plants. :high-five:

August 22nd. The two remaining plants in the grow box slowed down producing white pistils. So they are likely to be cut down in about a week. Plant # 2 hanging and drying not quite ready to go into jars yet. What I am guessing is this grow will produce less than the Green Crack grow from earlier this year but I could be wrong.

August 24th. Plant #2 dry enough to put in a Jar with a weight of 77 gm. of buds which is a little disappointing. On the bright side I think the other plants will outweigh this plant. #1 and #3 plants have some buds bending over as they appear too heavy for their stems. Still no amber Tricombs on either # 1-3 plant and we are at 9 weeks now.

Watered the remaining 2 plants still no amber Tricones but very few white pistils remain. These plants are about 2 weeks behind the first plant I chopped.... In

Still no gold Tricombs on the last two though they are covered in them and this one has some colas of fair size....

I have the last plant still drying and will have it canned in a day or two for a total of approx 4-450++ grams for the 4 plants. I had no yellowing of leaves on my plants with a Super soil mix and no issues with deficiencies or nutrient toxic so next grow it is going to be supper soil again. My concerns with G Gelato strain is the length of time for these plants to mature was on the long side and ranged from 8 to 11 weeks which is poor consistency in time maturing as well poor consistency of structure, with the buds being widely spaced so the colas were air at the bottom. The positive is they are covered in Tricombs, produced on average over 100 grams/plant, the smell is a sweetish aroma and they were chopped just as the tricombs started to turned amber and they produce a good high..........

  • 1900 06/03/2020 AK47 Extreme seeds put into water.
  • 0700 07/03/2020 put all seeds between paper towels put back in the dark in the boiler room for warmth.
  • 08/03/2020 all seeds showing tap roots so planted in 3-4 in plastic pots. Put under lights and in heated grow box.
  • 09/03/2020 first seed popping through surface of soil. Temp in box at approx. 70 F.
  • 12/03/2020 all seeds through soil
  • 01/04/2020 All four pants transplanted into one gallon pots. Plants are at the fifth set of leaves and will manifold them in a week. HP with Myc. added EW castings, and compost.
  • 05/04/2020 3 of the 4 plants manifolded to the 4th. internode. All leaves below the 4th. internode cleaned off.
  • 16/04/2020 Started second manifolding on first two plants. Trimmed the plant so that the 3rd and 1st internode are the only ones left on the plant.
  • 23/04/2020 Plants tied down for first time to level canopy.
  • 12/05/2020 Removed leaves and opened up canopy. Worked into the soil a table spoon of Kelp and watered with Molasses to all the plants.
  • 29/06/2020 Plants very slow growing up until the last month as they then have started to move up and fill out. Trimmed up all for plants and this will probably be the last trimming before turning to flower cycle. No problems so far with plants and only added a couple of tablespoons of Molasses to their water for a couple of watering’s of about a lt. every 2-3 days. This plants on schedule to be like the first grow of Green Crack which took 120 days in Veg. to get to a decant size. These plants look like they will be started on 12/12 in a couple weeks after they recover from the trimming.
  • 05/07/2020 Put the peony hoops on ea. plant. Plants starting to move out again and fill in again. Need another 6-8 in. height before the 12/12 switch…..

  • First pics of the four AK 47 extreme within a week or so of switching to 12/12. They are about 16 in from the soil and I would like to see them about 20 in. They recovered from the thinning

Just tried up will give them a few days to recover then will flip to 12/12 and they will be about 24 vertical from the ground.....

  • 09/07/2020 Fertilized with fish and kelp liquid 3 table spoons in 3 gallons divided by 4 plants.
  • 12/07/2020 plants moving fast again consider trimming next week and switching to 12/12 on Monday or Tue.
  • 13/07/2020 Plants trimmed up again dry weight 225 gm and plan to switch over to 12/12 in the next while once they start to grow and fill out again which should be by the weekend. Plants look healthy and no issues. Height is about 22 in vertical growth. Given one Tbs. of kelp fertilizer to ea. plant and worked into the soil.
  • 16/07/2020 9 pm turned off the lights for the next 30 hours then plan on switching to 12/12 for the flower.
  • 18/07/2020 bloom lights on now 12/12 7am to 7pm. Plants are 22-24 in. tall and will measure height when harvested to see stretch length.
  • 23/07/2020 Plants starting to smell more.
  • 25/07/2020 Noted white pistils starting to emerge from buds which would be 7 days from switch to 12/12.
  • 29/07/2020 budlets starting to form and a stretch is started.
  • 04/08/2020 Trimmed up plants probable for last time also bottom fan leaves starting to
  • turn yellow. Fertilized all plants with Fish/Kelp fertilizer.
  • 06/08/2020 Given 2 Tbs. Molasses in 3 gal of water also given Ca/Mg foliar spray.

  • 09/08/2020 given molasses in water to each plant and given Ca/Mg foliar spray. Leaves near top of plants starting to show Tricombes.
  • 25/08/2020 Given bloom fertilizer with each watering over the last 2 days watering. Disappointed in tricomb production on the plants buds so far. Orange pistals starting to show up. Should be redy for the chop in 3 weeks…

I would recommend you try it using 50x50mm mesh, I do it in a 3x4 tent with 3-6 and been yielding 20+oz using less than 500w but the next time 8 do it I'm doing separate scrog screens.
My last grow was for about a pound or 450 gm. In a area of 3x4 do pretty close with Large buds though I am not sure about this grow....

About 1-2 weeks away from the chop. Starting to fill out and amber pistols starting to show up more on one plant than others. Sweat smell from this variety is becoming
