Those pics are better than I get with a hi res (supposed to be) usb magnifier tied to my laptop.Don't make life complicated with mount-on and high power loupes, or one for looking and one for pics!
Here is how I do it with a $10 8x loupe and a 5 year old Samsung S4
And get results like this:

Sorry Kick! I wish I had known you were in the market or I coulda nudged you.
It works best with a phone camera that doesn't have a wide angle lens on the back, which my current Samsung S7 does. I grab my old S4 for trichome pics, the one in the original post.

Mine is just an old Agfa 8x loupe, still available from the original link, now at $9.50!

Thanks. I didn't see the link right off the back. I have a loupe and it takes great pictures but when I upload them they look extremely foggy.

It may seem obvious, but have you cleaned both sides with rubbing alcohol, and the phone lens too?

Yes . I think it's because the resolution of the table I use is different from the phone I snap with.

That could cause pixelation but shouldn't make them foggy I wouldn't think.

I'll upload the picture in the morning so you can see what I am talking about. I say foggy because it's not a clear detailed picture. It looks out of focus. Like a fog.

Darn I don’t think it’s going work with the iPhone 12, it has 3 cameras. Of course I want one like yours now Lol
