Graytail's 4th Perpetual: 4x4 Samsung Panels

Rugged....thanks so much for sharing your story about your gramps. If he could only come back a while and share all the stories with you about his travels.
Just a very , very cool story...thanks again for sharing and enjoy the day.
Thanks Duggan
Hope your day is excellent

@Lerugged i also enjoyed the story of grandfather, and could see him in my minds-eye traveling through the countryside in the 30's...how different things must have been from now...and yet many the same...because there was grandpa collecting seeds, and labeling them, way before it was the thing to do. Very cool f**kin story! Pardon my French. (:

Y Griega is dried and jarred and yielded 80 grams, 2.82 ounces over 161 days = 0.497 grams per day. :cheesygrinsmiley:

So I averaged 3.02 ounces each, in 6 gallon pots this run. That compares to 4.21 ounces each for the run last summer - not terribly disappointing. And the produce has been very good quality. These last two, Destroyer and Y Griega, are exquisite!

Awesome looking flower indeed. I think you ran this one before, didn’t you.

Holy glistening delights! :bravo: Can’t stop looking at those pics:hookah::yummy:

:p And it punches like a mule, just like I remembered! :headbanger: Got some of that old Kali Mist magic in it.

Them buds looks pretty darn good to me! Congrats on the harvest! In 3-4 weeks ill bet Gray is puffin on some nice homegrown! I remember sayin homegrown in the old days like it was a bad thing.
...how things have changed...

Nah, Gray is puffin on it right away! :thumb::cheesygrinsmiley:

I never did get to sample any of that Kentucky homegrown. At one time, it was the State's biggest cash crop? Or was that Tennessee? :laughtwo:

I did indeed - your memory is excellent! In fact, I won a NOTM with it. :slide: And it's every bit as fine as I remembered. So that's 2 out of 2 repeat strains that lived up to my memory of them - Destroyer and Y Griega. Nice! They're really good. I'll have to put together a decent description - these are very distinctly nice weeds.

:bongrip:

Beautiful buds Gray. They just look like they could melt your face. Nice job dealing with the dry conditions.

Thanks. :) This and Destroyer are the most potent plants I've grown in awhile. I'm like you, and only take a few hits at a time, so I was startled when I realized I was rushing pretty hard over 4-5 hits of the Destroyer. And then Y Griega came in and whew! - she'll leave you staring into the distance with an unfinished hit in your hand. And hey, I think the Bubba x KingGelato is an improvement on Bubba - more potent and a very similar buzz. :cheesygrinsmiley: It looks like it'll reveg so I get to grow another one.

Nice buds Gray...You say it is just like the old Kali Mist....did u grow that old KM?
I did....18 yrs. ago.

I never had KaliMist but I think I can feel it in Y Griega. It has a thrumming locomotive rush that I haven't felt in many other strains. Actually though, I think I can feel it in Bluniverse, too, which has KM in it. It musta been a helluva strain before they lost it.

:woohoo:gorgeous morsels Gray,

:p Gotta love the gritty sativa spears. I'm very pleased! Got a new Destroyer seed going and a cut of the YGriega. :slide:

I ran the first Destroyer back in 2014 and YGriega in 2016?, and they're both as good as they were back then. The breeding is solid. I highly recommend Destroyer and YGriega.

Could you elaborate on the “before they lost it” part for me? I was looking at getting some seeds from Serious Seeds.... apparently it’s a good strain for women/menstrual cramps etc... thought the wife might appreciate some natural relief instead of popping Advil/Tylenol/etc like candies.

Yeah, the current Kali Mist isn't the award winner from years ago. They lost it in a raid in 1998, and I haven't heard the raves you would expect if they'd managed to recreate it. There are still a few strains out there that have the pre-98 Kali though, and the Kali comes through strongly. I've had Y Griega and Bluniverse. I also had a 2046 (Neville's x Kali) seed but it didn't sprout. :(

Medical Seeds has a Y Griega CBD which might be even better for the wife. :Namaste:

Hey Pj - I know it’s not an exciting variety, but Blue Dream is a total winner for menstrual cramps.

A good potent topical is a winner as well.

CBD is nice, but for pain it’s THC that really does the work (especially in a topical). I don’t know what it is about blue dream but it gets reported all over the place, including some young ones I gave some too. The other one that I heard things about recently was slurricane. :Namaste:

I think it's the blueberry lineage that makes it so medicinal. Blueberry cures just about everything.

:thumb: Also whatever it’s muxed with tho - I can’t handle straight blueberry. The hybrid mix brings the happiness too. Some cerebral stimulation is a big part of the relief as well, I always think.

@Amy Gardner - thank you for the info! if blue dream is a good one then it’s going on the list!... topicals are in the near future, I hope! My growing priorities have been changing from “getting high” to “trying to help others”... although I still need my smoke! Lol ... My friends mom is interested in trying oils now that it’s legal here, she suffers from a number of things: Fibromyalgia, All arthritises, Nerve damage, Spinal stenosis, Rare eye condition and a Stroke 6.5 yrs ago....So I’ll be bouncing around the medical threads in the very near future... just lacking a sufficient supply to help her out at the moment, but that’s changing slowly but surely :thumb:
