Grateful Bud's Backyard Outdoor Grow - SFV OG

Oh, and at least something is happening:

Still confused on the terminology even after he explained it to me! Basically it's the compressor on the roof and the furnace in the attic (new...he says the current one is 30 year's old). He'll replace all the ducting and the filtration as well.

Haven't gotten any numbers yet. :nervous-guy:
Cool. A furnace over 25 years old is probably more than ready to be replaced.

Hope you get a decent price. I had a guy roll up in a brand spanking new Ram 2500 with air ride, multiple video cameras instead of mirrors, and every add-on you can imagine. He proudly showed me all of the gadgets - cool truck! Quoted me $14k for a good system, $16k for a better system, and $20k for the best system. SEER rating determines price. 22.0 for the Best system. I decided I did not want to help him pay for his truck.

I went with a friend of a friend who replaced everything but the ducting and refrigerant line-set (was still good). Under $9k. New system has a variable speed fan on the closet unit which is nice. Ducting for me would have added another $2,000.

Shit.
I see what looks like thrips. I did not spray Safer yesterday because humidity is way high - 68% again today. 87F will be the high.
I just need to bite the bullet I guess and spray.

Always frikkin something.

You and me GB! Let's get to it asap! Yep, always!
Bummer SO!

Sun is coming out and humidity is dropping - now around 50%.
I was hoping the ladybugs would devour them but apparently there are too many or they taste funny. Either way all the ladies will get sprayed with a Safer shower today once they are in the shade.

Good luck!

I’ll be spraying as soon as I get up.

Choot em Scoobs!

CHOOT EM!
Hiya Tra!

Again, I attribute this to operator error. I should have been spraying diligently every 3 days. My bad.

Hope you have a wonderful morning!

It’s such a shit job!

I should have sprayed them after work yesterday but I just couldn’t be fucked. I last sprayed them Thursday, so I should still be safe.

It’s a never ending story.

Note to self (and advice to others):

When growing outdoors prepare for the worst!
Spray spray spray! Even if you think they are gone continue to spray.

Neem in veg - twice per week. Spray nearby plants as well.

Once in flower discontinue Neem and spray Safer or other equivalent. Every 3-4 days.
Spray bt at least once per week if you even think there are butterflies or moths about.

Then spray some more.

Don't delay!

That was my mistake. Two day ago all looked well and the storm was moving in (with rain and high humidity). I thought "I'll be OK for a few more days". Not so.

Spray!
Choot 'em DEAD!

I won’t go more that 4 days.

I feel I have a day to play with.

I’m heading straight into mite season. I can’t take my foot off their necks.

Gave the ladies a thorough Safer shower today. Washed off about 40 mins later.
Not looking too bad; seeing more damage from the thrips. A few weeks ago I thought they were mites but when I looked again under a scope they look like thrips.

Harem:

Sunny and Dawn have been in flower since July 4th = 69 days. I'm thinking another week.

Lori, Cindy, and Tara had for sure pistils on July 15th = 58 days. 2-3 more weeks maybe.

Cindy has always looked pale green. I've tried upping her nutes but she just likes being lime. Not looking too bad. Tara looks a little scraggly. I'm thinking the heat did that.

Lori looks the worse for the wear. She has always been scraggly. Poor thing. Today I noticed one branch has buds that are very scraggly and look kinda brownish. I'll keep and eye on that branch. May just chop it off if I think it's rot.
