Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

Transplant is done. I hope I got it okay. Yes, I know she's not in the center of the pot. I tried my best, but that's where it came to. Hopefully, that won't make much of a difference in root growth. If anything looks amiss, please let me know so we can get it fixed. Thanks a lot, everyone. Thanks for helping me through that...

You nailed it, just like I knew you would Grandpa! You never have to be in the centre of the pot, it's just a common practice. ;)

The only thing I would check with your fingers is...

I notice there are soil/particles on your leaves. Being that you are using a nutrient filled soil, that may leave little marks on your leaves as the light hits them. I had the same problem when I used a similar soil. So all you have to do is lightly brush off those soil particles that you can feel gently if you can. If not, no biggie. I just don't want the little white soil spects on your leaves to burn through. So best just to lightly brush off the stuff from the top.

Otherwise, you have no idea how proud I am of you. Trust me, you can do this growing thing eyes closed if we can teach you how to grow with your hands, which everyone is.

Gosh, this is just the beginning for you. BIGsisterHUG

Great suggestion! You may even be able to blow on them a little in the morning gramps. If you don't have a large lung capacity you can always use a fan or cardboard to lightly fan it off too :) but I'm sure your better with your hands than I am hahaha

Goodmorning Grandpa, hope all is good today :) Looking forward to hearing about Jane, have a good one Gramps

Indeed. Looking forward to your morning report gramps! Wishing you and Kelley blessed day ✌

Thanks for all the kind words about the, comparatively speaking, bumbling transplant attempt. I went ahead and tried to scrape the soil from a top of her leaves, and here is what she looked like at about 10 a.m. Pacific time.

Give her about 3 days and then watch her explode!!

I agree looks Great! I think with her in the new container and your revised watering practices Mr. Stank suggested, your going to knock it out of the park!

Well... Don't forget the way that you suggested is exactly the same. I apologize, I lost it in the rest of the posts. You deserve credit for suggesting it as well. Now, whether I knock it out of the park is still debatable. :tongue-out:

She is beautiful Grandpa. I can't wait to see her explode! Well not literally...but she will gain momentum very soon.

I think this thread is the epitome of teamwork, it's fulfilling to help you.

Kelley tells me she is standing straight and proud. Hearing that gives me a sense of relief and a sense of accomplishment. Hopefully, she'll stay that way and do as you all think she will. One quick question... Should we remove the Dead or partially dead brown leaves. Maybe just remove the brown... Thoughts?

Hi grandpa! Great to hear She is doing great! I had Some leafs turn yellow due to several issues. Today they were doing great so i removed the leafs so they can spend all there energy towards the good leafs and the growing. This is just my own theory so not Sure If This is the best way :)

Good luck and let me know What you Did.

Oh before I forget.. a picture would be Nice. Its so much easyer to judge and great to follow the progress ;)

Have a wonderful day

Agreed. I prefer to remove them to help encourage new growth and energy. If there’s enough to do so naturally. I think she’ll pull through nicely.
