Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

Good morning! I'm told that the girls look much better this morning. It appears that the flushing did a lot of good. Thank you guys for getting me back on track. I felt them this morning and the stocks, although smallish, are very rigid and strong. The new growth is there! I could feel them especially on Elsa. They will get another half gallon of very diluted nutes in a little while. Again... We will be using one milliliter per gallon each of Micro Blast and Bloom. Please let me know if I need to adjust anything. Here are some pics of them hopefully showing the new growth that is appearing at the bottom parts of the plants.

Looking alot better i was gonna suggest taking all those crispy leaves off the bottoms but it looks like you already did..nice job grandpa. On another note i think autos seem way more complicated than photos i have never done them they scare me...because you have no control... Which is why im hydro in the first place... For instance if you wanted to do some plant damaging training techniques i can just keep them in veg for 2 more weeks to recover ,then flower... With autos you have to time everything perfect... Hell i could veg a tree for a year if i wanted..

And then on top of that all the auto strains it seems like you have to learn every strain individually..i feel like autos are for pros. Im a noobie.lol. but alot of people feel the other way. That autos are easy and hydro is the hardest...lol its preference, and conditions. You can pretty much rinse and repeat photos with different results but still good results ya know what im saying..

Q89...what you are saying makes perfect sense. In fact, we were talking about whether to do a photo or another Blue Trickle next time out. We had almost finally determined that we would do one photo. This just solidifies that decision. Thanks!

PW...thanks for the reminder. We will definitely do that. Since the new light is so much brighter and gen erates a little bit more heat... We have it about 2 inches above the original one. I think we may have to do this from the beginning from now on.

Some of the problem may have been heat/ light stress. I think a photo would suit you well. You can veg until they're big and healthy before you flip them. With photos time is on your side and not your enemy.

That the wet chlorophyll gets on the buds and tastes bad...makes perfect sense. But did i solidify your decision towards another auto or towards a photo? Are you saying your gonna do 1 of each?

Definitely going to go with one photo next run. Also, when next Spring gets here, we are going to put one outside in the backyard at the corner of the house where the fence meets it. It's a good little location for stealth, and also the sun which gets very hot here will stay off of her for at least half the day. I think it will be a good location for a plant to develop. By just doing the two we stay legal.

Man i wish i had the balls to grow outdoors... Too many variables...lol neighborhood thieves... Cops ...bugs...uncontrollable weather changes... Sounds like a nightmare to me lol..but your location seems pretty good. If you dont mind me asking (for weather reasons) where are you at in the world?

Gramps the light i sent you isnt stronger then the one you have.. yours with the green casing is around 240w and the white casing one is around 130w. I tried telling you before. It just shoots out more heat cause its an older model. Please someone correct me if im wrong but i dont want him to be confused about that anymore lol.

IT ...I I remember you mentioning about it being not as strong, but it's the heat I'm trying to keep from them. I'm also sure you're correct on that wattage. Thanks for the reminder about that. You never know when an old man like me has a brain fart. .

Kelley let me know that the new growth is growing like crazy. Makes my heart feel a lot better. Thanks a lot to everyone for all the encouragement! Unfortunately, due to not feeling well yesterday, the Nute solution did not get applied. We'll get it done today after I get back from a trip to the doctor's about 60 miles away. It's simply blows me away that they are shooting out New Growth Mike this, especially during blooming. Excellent job to all of you!

We just checked on the girls, and Kelly says they are showing Brown on the edges of the top leaves again. So, I raised the lights about an inch and we'll see how they respond. I am certain it has nothing to do with nutrient burn as we have not applied the new nutrient solution yet. The pots are still heavy as well. Hopefully, they will respond better to the light being moved up.
