Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

We are in business Grandpa!

Okay 420 family, I gotta pull in the troops. Grandpa has a steep learning curve just to post updates, and they are going to take time. Please view his pictures and give him feedback as soon as you can. I have written some questions just based on what I see in case Grandpa is wondering. I just want to get momentum going because his Bubba Kush did not germinate so he's already down one plant.

@Pennywise - Can you tell if the lights are exactly over the plants? Do they need to be? Should he drop another seed to make up for that Bubba Kush?

@Tead - Could you check the girl in hempy and see if she's okay? She looks like she's reaching? Could you give Grandpa some feedback when you have a momento.

@imtoasted - The soil medium looks great, what's your take?

@Eyes4grandpa - Which strains do you have going now? Which one is the auto?

The lights look fine to me for now, the hempy plant looks like nute burn. As far as the hempy make sure to water daily. I would pop a new seed for the hempy bucket, no sense wasting time and resources on a young seedling if it’s not growing fast and strong. I wouldn’t worry too much about Audrey stretching, she looks really good to me!

Overall comments:

So the hempy needs daily watering, hmmm, okay, that might be an issue. I thought we were going with mediums that would prevent daily maintenance and burnt seedlings. I guess I'm confused.

The soil is AMAZING, I give it 2 green thumbs up! Keep going with this medium Grandpa!

The lights look a little off to the side of your pots, not sure the impact of that, but you will have to move those seedlings under those lights soon. Keep that in mind k, Grandpa.

It's very difficult to see the "green" in your pics Grandpa cause of the pink lights like Dr.Doob said, so it's difficult to give you colour reports on your girls.

Otherwise, you're looking good, get 2 more beans in that rockwool and let's get this party rockin'.

Questions, comments, kudos?

Please pardon the intrusion. :thanks:

Since many of you stay in the grow room with blinders on, we have to spread the word somehow.

Never thought I'd have problems navigating a forum script.
I apologize for my lack of presence year since the switch. I'm trying, guys...
We're only using the Growant at this time.
LadyG... I want to thank you and apologize to you. The apology is for the pink and purple pictures. I forgot to turn the light out... And the thanks is for stepping up and Helping out with the questions. You do know how I think for the most part.
Thanks to all of you for your opinions and recommendations. Audrey is the Blue Kush Auto. since she is the Lone Survivor at this point, then two more beans will go into our w for the empty and the other soil pot so that we can do the comparison that was originally planned for this particular run. I will get more pictures, remembering to turn the light out, ASAP.

@Eyes4grandpa, *myanswers

Never thought I'd have problems navigating a forum script.

*It's really just a blog template made into a website. This is a very common template to use. I have a couple blogs and all the features are the same. If and WHEN you learn this, you'll be able to navigate to almost half of the blogs out there. I'm sure that is not much help, but the fact that you can read code is really your gift that gets you here. Did you know, there is an icon on the far right of your posting box that looks like a gear but the alt tag says "Toggle BB Code." Meaning you can click that and write in basic html even. You already know this, but in case you want your coders freedom, the option is there.

I apologize for my lack of presence year since the switch. I'm trying, guys...

*It shows how hard you are trying, and it shows us you're not a quitter. No apologies necessary because you are still moving on. Grandpa, there are grown men here so upset, ranting and raving because of this template change. And here you are visually impaired mapping your own way. You really don't know how far ahead of us you truly are. A class act, you are.

We're only using the Growant at this time.

*I see your growant is on the furthest side away from your pots. You either have to move those pots under your growant, or turn on your mars which is hanging perfectly over them. Your choice, we may have to try both, but choose a path of least resistance.

LadyG... I want to thank you and apologize to you. The apology is for the pink and purple pictures. I forgot to turn the light out... And the thanks is for stepping up and Helping out with the questions. You do know how I think for the most part.

*No worries, I got LED glasses now, but I did have to take my glasses off to study your pics. You forgot no biggie, your effort has been 100% and that's what counts. Thanks for making this my home too.

*Wow so it was the auto that survived. Okay that's great, she's probably only 8-10 weeks. So we have a winner chicken dinner here. Audrey is loving life right now.

*Special Thank you to everyone who is chiming in and answered my questions. Time was of the essence and we can't miss a beat with Grandpa. He's running out of meds and we ALL know that importance of our medication. So keeping that in mind, I'm truly grateful for everyone replying to my questions. That's what 420 family is for.

Are you saying that this is a Blog script? If so , these forms are much more advanced than I remember.T hy also have the feel of a script. thank you for all the kind words and encouragement, and thanks also to p w and the rest of you. It will continue, has handicapped as I am What's the script right now. I really apologize also for the typos that my dictation app makes, but I cannot go back and fix them

Hi Grandpa, as I right click, view page source code, I am reading the code of an initial blog turned website using HTML, CSS, JScript, PHP & Widgets and probably more. NOT sure about the bulletin script.

So this is how it works. When you buy a blog you can convert it to a website with blog features. The biggest plan allows you to write your own code and add features that are beyond my scope. This is when you bring in a developer to design specific features, for example, we went from 20 photo upload to 50 photo upload per post, sending out pics to certain directories instead of the Main and posting options.

So based on the code I see, it's easier to navigate through this template, than my experience with the code from the previous template. Also, this template allows 420 care, custody and control of their template, as opposed to the developer before that stopped providing support, which is how this mess started.

This is actually a blessing Grandpa, it's setting you up for success. I know the learning curve is steep, but here you are 7 days later with a post for us to see. That's deserves a trophy right there.

I just love technology, when you get around the fact that "it's new", it becomes almost intuitive for our journalling needs.

Lady G...I I understand what you're saying, and I really cannot argue with it, even if I wanted to. Which I don't. However, I have an added challenge with this particular script that is unique to visually impaired people. When we use a regular browser on our phones, there is a little thing that is not only annoying, but it makes it three times as hard to read what is on a page. Every other line, in between the text of the page, the screen reader announces the name of the page. So, every other line of a post, and the features in between the posts are separated with the screen reader announcing the name of the page. That, and the fact that each separate items are very small and close together, makes it very, very difficult. I have to memorize, yes memorize, where things are and then try to find them with my thumb. That's one of the challenges that are faced in the case of the visually impaired. C old script was further separated with the features, and although it would be the same with the page announcements, the app existed and had no issues like that. That's why I am saying I hope they get an app out soon.
