I was looking through my stash of seeds a few days ago. I found a single bean in a tiny baggie which had a typed label that read, “Freebie Auto Flower.” Nothing else, just that. I have no idea how old it is or where it came from. Since I’ve never grown an auto in DWC I figured I’d give it a shot.

I placed the lone seed in a shot glass of RO water yesterday morning. Yesterday evening (approximately 12 hours later), there was a small white tip starting to pop out. I put the seed in a wet rock wool cube. This morning...voila! Bean head!

I’ve never had a seed pop that fast. Might be worth seeing what it is. Enjoy!

Believe it or not, I keep my seeds in a refrigerator. The same refrigerator that holds my fresh frozen trim in the freezer. :kiss:

Likewise. My pollen is stored in there as well. Not sure how long it lasts but as long as it stays dry I think I'm good.

Pollen can last a long time in a fridge. I’ve heard several years, but I’ve never had the opportunity to store pollen. I would love to try though. Maybe some day.

I bet there’s somebody who’s had trouble with the law because of pollen... hahaha! Glad it wasn’t me.

Last night my little bean shed her outer shell (I know there’s a real name for it but I can’t remember it :ganjamon:

) but she’s not looking good at all. Weird looking...genetic freak...I love her! Hope she makes it...

In the flower room things are looking very nice. PH dropped slightly overnight, but nothing drastic. Actually, I’m going to drain the res this weekend to give them their first flower nutes since tomorrow is the end of week 2 from flip.

So far, I cannot find one blemish or spot on a leaf. They’ve put on mass this week and overall look healthy. I’m pleased with how they are progressing. When they get some Bloom nutes they might get a little burn, but so far so good.
