Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

Health update: All is good. I’m down another 5 lbs which puts me around 25 total pounds lost since they cut me open with a chainsaw. I’m still lifting 3 days a week and doing cardio on an elliptical 3 days a week. I’ve upped the cardio to 30 minutes per session and the weights I’m lifting, although still technically in the little-girl category, have increased significantly since the getgo.

Overall things are going very well. I haven’t felt this good in many years. Nutrition remains the hardest part of this journey, but I’ve been very strict about what goes into my body and it’s really beginning to show. I could go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, but my wife and I are both waiting another 12 week workout session. I’m hoping to drop another 15-20 pounds in the next 12 weeks so new clothes now would mean doing it again when it’s complete. I’m looking as though I’m wearing 2 sizes too big...wait...I am! I chuckle to myself whenever I pass a mirror now...incredible shrinking man syndrome. :slide:

I’m beginning to feel fit again and although I know I have a long way to go still, I know it’s possible. I’m beginning to see and feel the hard work I’ve put into this and it’s really life changing. It’s not been easy, by any means, but I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished so far. I won’t be on the cover of “Men’s Fitness” anytime soon, and I’m okay with that...for now. :Namaste:

Get after it g-pa! Glad to hear y'all are having great success.
:bravo:
The pounds will continue to shed off as long as you keep it up. Shrinking man syndrome isn't the worst problem to have.

GT it's great to hear you're all about enjoying this gift of life. As you know there aren't many times we're reminded of the joys of good physical conditioning, whatever that is for each of us. It's so good for the mind and body. Have you felt clearer minded as well? I read your posts with happiness and as a reminder to cut the shit dumbass. Thanks for the update brother!
