Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

Hi @Grandpa Tokin !

Lovely girls you have!

Shed mentioned that you had two of the buckets that I’m looking at getting (the ones you pictured just above) and I’m wondering what your thoughts are regarding them (the good, the bad, the ugly). Kindly appreciate your input!
I’d be delighted to give my 2 cents worth. I’ve only had the buckets for a few weeks and I haven’t grown anything in over a year so take that for what it’s worth. However, I love these buckets so far. When I ordered them (off Amazon) I got two buckets but only one little cover for the square part. I wrote to the company and I got a reply back very quickly and the guy asked me to send my address. About 4 days later I had the cover in the mail. So, first off, customer service seems to be pretty darn good IMO.

I love having the ability to check the bucket easily. I can tell, when the ladies get bigger, it will really come in handy to drain also. Bottom line, I think they are pretty good buckets for what I’m doing. A little pricey for a bucket, but if it makes life a little easier, then I’m all for it.

Let me know if you purchase. I’d love to know what you think.

Thank you kindly! Yeah - with as big as my (supposed) auto is, I think I need to get one asap. I’m tried of trying to lift her in and out of her bucket and constantly breaking off lower leaves in the process! Already have to liquid transfer pump so should make the last few weeks a bit easier!

I also use a transfer pump. It works well with these things.

I was thinking the only thing I may need hubby to do for me is make me a rectangular-shaped tube made of mesh or screen for that area so I can ensure I dont get any roots sucked up in my transfer pump when I’m draining old nutrient solution out.

I don’t worry about it. I just move the roots out of the way as much as I can and go from there. I used to do it with round buckets under a scrog so these will be easier with the extra room. Your plant looks fantastic.
You running RO water or tap? Plants are looking good gramps.
Believe it or not, I’m using bottled water from WalMart. $1.57 (with tax) for 5 gallons. That’s cheaper than my house water, and this is RO filtered. It’s pretty clean and seems to be working well.
I’m gonna pull up a seat, I have a couple of those buckets also I’m running, ur girls r looking good
Glad you’re here. Let me know how you like them.
Plants are looking sweet GT!
Thanks. They have a long way to go.

Gotcha - and thank you. She’s ginormous for an auto!

Day 30 of life! (From the 1st root pop) :meatballs:

Still feeding with BPN: 3ml/Gal of Grow, Micro, and Bloom; 2ml/Gal of Cal-Mag and 2ml/Gal of HydroGuard. With this WalMart RO water, and with these nutes, I need 5ml of PH down to get both buckets to 5.8. It’s pretty simple. Last night I snipped several leaves to hopefully give the under-branching a little light. I’ve decided to do nothing to these and see what happens. No topping or anything…just natural Christmas tree look. Enjoy!

I forgot to add that today was a push day. I pushed the earth back onto it’s proper axis again. We’re all safe for now! You can thank me later…I smoke weed just so you know… :cheesygrinsmiley:

100 pushups and 50 incline bench press with 40 lb dumbbells during my 4.5 mile walk around the neighborhood. Get off the couch!

Day 31 of life! :Namaste:

Today was a pull day. Inverted rows on the gymnastics rings and bicep work. I was glad when it was over. :kisstwo:

Snipped this off the Six Shooter. Very nice growth. Enjoy!

I also squeezed a little Cindy 99. It’s good…really good!
