Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

Oooo what seeds??

I have so many, but there are a few of my own making that I’d really like to try. It means doing a serious pheno hunt again, but I’m okay with that. It’s just time consuming. I also want to only do 2 plants inside and a few autos outside again. I have some really nice auto seed

I have us covered for today my friend. 12 hard minutes on the bike! It's a start.

That’s an outstanding start my brother! When I began this journey I could barely do 10 minutes on the elliptical. Take it slow and steady. I’m proud of you. Tomorrow do a hard 12 minutes and 15 seconds.

Hay GT I am Way late to the party do you mind if I take a seat in the Way back. I am interested in learning about Squishing and I know you are the resident expert so I am here to be like Sponge Bob and soak up as much knowledge as possible

Glad you’re here cuz. There are a ton of great squishers here. If you have any questions I’ll be happy to try and help.

Happy VD to everyone. :kisstwo: I’ve taken this entire week off from working-out to let my sciatica heal. I’m not back to 100% but it’s close. Hopefully I’ll be able to do my normal workout routine on Monday. Taking my wife out to dinner tonight. Maybe she’ll get lucky...:cheesygrinsmiley:

Well, my back is better, but still not good enough to do much. Going on 3 weeks and now it’s become a literal pain in my ass. All I can do is wait it out...and ingest large quantities of rosin. That’s the plan.

It's a very good plan!

Good afternoon @Grandpa Tokin hope you are feeling better today. Those capsules sound amazing. I'm looking to get a press from Dabpress here soon but I have so much to learn. Thinking the 3x7 caged but still clueless on the hydraulic press side.

Apparently what I was looking at doesn't have enough clearance. Any additional tips would be greatly appreciated! This would be for like 1 end user. Thanks! Have a great day!

I'll be here taking notes in the back!

I have those caged plates and I love them. I already had a large 20 ton press so that was easy. I would just purchase one of dabpress’ built-in models if I didn’t already have the press. They have some really nice stuff. Let me know if you need help.

You need to ask yourself how much flower you intend to press in one session. It takes about seven to ten minutes to weigh the flower, form a puck, insert it into a filter bag, press it, and collect the rosin. This is regardless of puck size.

A press with 3" x 3" plates Is probably good for one 7gm / 30mm bottle tech puck.

I'll get back to you tomorrow with figures for the 3" x 5" plates. I'll press two 7gm / 30mm bottle tech pucks at once, and one 14gm / 40mm puck. I managed to squeeze one 40mm puck into a bag today.

Grandpa Tokin can give you the figures for the 3" x 7" plates.

If you have a hydraulic press, or have another use for one, get the caged plates. If you don't, take a serious look at Dabpress' hydraulic units. I'm very pleased with my 10 Ton Driptech Rosin Press.

Ah! It was here...

I promised in another thread that I'd do a comparison of 7gm / 30mm pucks and 14gm / 40 mm pucks. Here are the results:

These presses were done to determine the puck capacity of my press with 3" x 5" plates. With two pucks, the sides of the parchment may need to be folded up if you have a high yield. The lower return from the 14 gm pucks is probably due to my lack of experience with them. I'm unwilling to gain more experience until I acquire some appropriately sized filter bags. The 40mm pucks are a PITA to insert into the 2.5" bags. It can be done, but it is difficult and time consuming.

Please post this in the rosin thread if you haven’t already. Very organized and professional OS! I love it. So is single puck better? Your thoughts?
