Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

Glad you like it Gramps. It's a strain I will keep around for a while. It's extremely popular with the amigos. Hella tasty too....even in flower form. Have you hit the.bong with it yet?

As in 160 - 200?
How low can you actually go?

My speakers go to about 12 Hz, but for pressing I find with my press
that yields drop off in the upper 160s (using that nasty ass scale of mine that prob has horse shit somewhere on it).

Each variety you press has a curve where the yield drops off, that is where you should press for mo' flava'!

Exactly! One of you guys needs to do a graph...or write a book...or both. :cheesygrinsmiley: A picture book with popular strains, temps, pressures, and times. That is all. :headbanger:

*Edit: I believe it would be a money maker.

It’s good. Real good. They are all top shelf meds, but you knew that already. I definitely want this one and the AM and the Tangie and the Hawaiin and, and, and...:thedoubletake:

Ha! Hey man, I’ve got respect for any man that weighs his weed and horse on the same scale!:high-five:

Never looked at it that way. I just pulled that scale when I started pressing because it's the only one that I have that is good to the hundredths of a g. My other scales are +- 1g.

Would be next to impossible because every strain will be different from area to area in the globe and grown differently, stored and cured differently. The book would be a great idea but I think would be very difficult to accomplish! Your GG4 would be different than 20 other people’s GG4 and the press would all be different! Just my opinion though if anyone can complete by all means all the power to you!! Haha

Ha! I was being facetious...but you never know until you try. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I do love pictures of rosin though.

So Sunday I was busy snipping of fan leaves and putting my Killer Queen, which had been hanging for about 14 days, into its bin for the last week before I trim and jar......

Anyways, my buddy with the press shot me a text wondering if I was down for a sesh... wife was busy, horses were fed, chores were done... so I said sure I’ve got a few hours to kill before bring in/feed... why not... on a whim I thought I’ll take this last branch with me... about 3grams... we smoked the big nug 1g... and decided to press the other two....

:drool::drool::drool:

Sour citrus/grapefruit.... kinda bummed I don’t have the strain anymore now lol

Take a look why!

Didn’t get a pic of the whole sheet... but we both got 2 nice sized dabs out of it and it tasted sooooo damn good lol

Blew his mind how much better my homegrown was than the commercial shit he’s been buying and pressing! :thumb::ganjamon:

Grow my babies, grow! :morenutes:

Good golly! That’s insane yellow goo @Pjs420 very nice looking Rosin. That’s obviously a good strain and grown well. Tasty looking for sure!

Thanks gramps! I was over joyed and completely surprised! Very happy with the results and glad I decided to take that last branch with me.... just wish I had more now :laughtwo:

Nice @Pjs420! I look like I’m slumming with my rough trimming...
5 grams OGKH -170* press for 2:30.
20 Tons of pressure and your best bags don’t stand a chance. LOL!

Hey @Grandpa Tokin, this squeeze at 170* was a pain in the ass to get off the paper. Is that typical?

Ok, I think I understand why you should stop pumping when the juice starts flowing. Otherwise when you keep inching your bud flatter and it pushes the edge of the buds into your fresh squeeze. Thus losing some squeeze on the edge of the buds. But I've been toss them in a jar for a wash when it's sufficiently filled.

It all depends on the weed and how it’s grown, the temp, the pressure, etc. However, when they are hard to get off the sheet I usually put them in the freezer for awhile. Ive even let them sit in a drawer for a few days. On that particular strain you probably want to squeeze at a higher temp. I normally squeeze from 200-225F, but i’m starting to experiment at lower temps. Bottom line: it all depends...LOL!

@BobbyZ I’d still hit what you got there sir! Looks mighty fine and tasty!

The trims on the table for squishing next weekend as per my buddy’s request lol I had not even considered it :laughtwo::ganjamon:

Awesome! Yeah, I’d hit it too...

I keep my pucks in the freezer. As much as we squeeze it doesn’t take long to have a batch ready very soon.
