I'm not an expert on bud density! I know that so much goes into what makes one plant's flowers different from another that it's tough to say why one ends up leafier than another unless you're running a clone test.

Genetics plays a major role as a start. I've read that a huge amount of nitrogen in flower can make for leafy buds. I also find that flower grown outside to be a bit looser than dispensary weed grown in an ideal environment from sprout to harvest.

Personally I've never grown indoors so dispensary weed is all I can actually compare to.

Indoors though, lower light levels can lead to fluffier buds, but that's not an issue in the sun!

here is a pic of my do si do bud 8 weeks or so cured up.. very tasty smoke smooth and potent .. do si do oct 2022 plant of month bud.. may i ask @InTheShed about this bud?

Hey Delta, that looks similar to one of mine, the more sativa looking one. How you liking it? Squishes up nice and tasty! Lime in the vape and grapefruit squished! One grew like this and is my favorite! The other is more dense and is lovely too but not so lime tasting in vape or joint form.

Hiya totally new to this.

Just squished my first stuff.

My own grown Skunk 11, over dried not sale grade.

Never even smoked it before!

But have setup below. A folded too much pouch over so lost loads I’ll need to scrape off. They’re 90 micron bags.

Any tips and tricks you recommend would be hugely appreciated. I have some very

I use the 160 micron bags for buds , the 90’s are for pressing hash . Cool looking press .
Did you get a puck maker , I like the cylinder type , you can see it Here .
Trial and error because of the different weed you’ll be pressing, not all does the same .

Super helpful. Thank you.

Reckon I should try the bags that shipped with it tomorrow. They probably know what works, eh?

Wish they’d labelled them with the microns. Just like I wish my wife labelled her clones better but that's a whole other story 🤣

I still bring everything I squish here and my threads . I’m going to wait on the Candy Kush to come down I have enough capsules for five weeks left .
Also Here’s another that tells about the bags . Enjoy .

Thank you Sir!

And thanks Shed for hooking me up with this thread. Lets see how I can improve my first effort having read your OG stuff tomorrow before squish two. I’m not disappointed its just a baseline to test the machine with stuff that was lying around.

Look forward to the experiments - and actually trying the stuff!

Will check back in tomorrow!

I too like to post my rosin making here.

One of things that's not brought up much is storage issues.
I always ended up with way too much weed left over from the previous years grow, and by that time I am kinda tired of the strain.

I started making it a year ago. I store the biggest best buds and make rosin and bubble hash with the rest.
I wrap the rosin in parchment paper and put all of the same strain in a baggie and then put that in a tupperware and put it in the freezer. Some of the rosin has now been in the freezer for a year and I can't detect any degradation in quality.

I also mostly use 160 micro filter bags for bud and have some 45 micro bags for making hash rosin.
I am now on my 4th pack of #40 160 micron bags.
