Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

Amazon cart is full......and checked out....thank you! I would have wasted about 10 hours trying to research stuff and I have much more important stuff to do, like dry trim 12 zips of Tangie Ghost Train and chop down the mains off the Amherst Sour Diesel!

Ewww...work!

OK, whats your budget and space constraints? Whats your plug size/type for AC? Are you looking for a shop press or indoor press?

Sure someone can post links to stuff within your budget.

As GPT beats me to it....

My press...

Bags-although i've tried all brands. I like this bag for it's volume/base ratio...it has a big base.

Tools-any dental tool, ground to your liking.

Dab tool - Mystic Timber have a few.

Banger-joel halon honey bucket flat banger, matching cap. Forget all the fancy ass styles of cool stuff.

Rig-? mine are locally blown.

I use any silicon mats like gpt uses, also have a 1/4 baking sheet with a mat that I put everything on.

Torch-Fuel-qtips-cleaner-dark crystal on amazon, your usual tray, scale, grinder, de-stemmers.
I am not buying a press....I won the one from the POTY contest which is the Dab Press 3 ton with the 3"x 3" hot plates.

Everything will be set up in the basement on an old work bench.

Thank you Nobody! Great links!

Ewww...work!
4th plant in 4 days......5th in 6 days. I am so over harvesting......can't wait until I get back to staggered harvests. I hate this much work! I prefer a plant every 10 days to 2 weeks. I hate being a slave to plants

Seriously guys, I thank you sincerely for your help with this. I guess I didn't think it would be that different than anything else I already had. I was all excited that I would be able to try it tonight! :(:(

“Puck insertion tool...” ? I was thinking a jig, of sorts, would work. What were you thinking?
Fancy words for the same thing. A piece of scrap wood with holes cut into it, then cut into the wood to meet the cut out holes. I'll probably make two, a one holer, and a two holer.

LOL! Same exact picture came to my mind. Love it!

Playtime!

:bravo:

That’s awesome @Tead

I may need to pick up one of these puck makers. Do you guys make the puck and then put that into a bag? I’ve been de-stemming and then manually feeding the bag which may account for why I have more blowouts. I’m still doing things the hard way...it appears. :thedoubletake:

I’d love to sit and watch an oz at a time be squeezed. You guys are awesome!
He Dutch and Gramps and any other pressers out there.

I just got my Dab Press in and I am trying to figure out what I will need to order to be able to use it. Seems like the unit is pretty much a plug and play unit. Didn't come with any bags or anything for doing the actual pressing. So my question to you veterans of the press game is this.....what all do I need to acquire to be able to use it and use it right and as efficiently as possible. Do I need a puck or mold? I know I need the bags but what micron level should I get? Why are there so many options and what are the different options used for? I want to order everything I need so I don't have to keep ordering different stuff and have to wait forever to try it out. Thanks in advance you old fart (Gramps) and everyone else!
How dry do buds need to be. I was kind of wondering if fresher harvests wouldn't produce some really tasty rosin....do you need to wait for it to reach a certain level of dryness to be able to press it?
Another question for you on this......could you use regular buds if you were pressing to use in baked goods since the baking will act as the decarb process. Has anyone tried that method?

@Van Stank i feel like my thread:
Dutchmans Rosin Room May help you! Read the beginning pages and see how that goes for you! It breaks down the process a bit and gives details on micron bags and the different press techniques.

I get a much better yield and flavor pressing fresh dried bud. 3-5 days in my environment. What I don't smoke, I decarb in my Nova and dissolve in my tincture to, as Emeril Lagasse would say, kick it up a notch. Good pressing to you.
