Grand Daddy Purple S1 & Pre-1998 Bubba Kush S1

The picture of them on the plate shows a lot of nice colors. It does look to have some nice pink/purple to it :thumb:. A friend of mine ran a blueberry for a few years out side that turned purple but it changed shades from year to year. The first year I helped him trim it the wet nugs were pink purple on the bottom and darkened up to violet at the top of em. The next year it was purple blue and then the year after it turned deep purple almost black. That was the last year he ran it as his source for the clones lost all of his cuts. I'm yet to see anything else quite like it.

I'll pick a seed from this GDP mother plant to treat with CS and turn into a father plant next time:

and I'll pick a seed from this GDP mother plant that was treated with CS to be the next mother (I like how frosty it is):

With them I'll grow a few seeds of this backcross to the original (if there are any) to see what they look like too:

Not much purple on that last original clone. Weird.....

Note: I jarred that last GDP clone up at 1.3 oz. after smoking about five doobs from it fatties too :tokin: I've never tasted anything cured that tastes as smooth as this organic GDP right off the drying rack :thumb:

I still have 3-4 tops of the BID-cut GDP from 2 runs ago. Nugs are dense as rocks and they got that really nice purple the last 3-4 weeks. It's color was all genetic (i.e. not cold-induced) too. It was my Wife's favorite until this last run. She's got a new fave now.

I must say...yours look amazing PC.

Thanks man I've been busy as Hell. I chopped the two GDP S1 mother rejects the other day and the CS treated plant too. Here's the first untopped one:

I'm no mathematician but I think moderate yield + organically grown = small yield:

Might get an ounce  Here's the topped GDP S1:

Same on the yield; somewhat smaller than I expected:

I've got to work on technique so more buds are in the light zone on my plants. On the other hand, I like having smaller buds to make oil out of :)

Looks almost identical to the one I had. Yield was still o.k., but I vegged for 10 weeks too. One of the really good parts is the ease of trim. That node-spacing and lanky leaves is a treat come harvest time.

I don't mind chopping these at all it doesn't take any time at all to do one :)
I've been smoking hard on this Mendocino x Purple Kush; it tipped the scale at a disappointing .6 oz.

The light floral taste is there still; the rest of the taste is earthy and a tiny bit hashy. It's got a good buzz and once again the smoothness of the smoke right off the drying rack makes me want to consider putting up with the lower organic yields. I'll grow this strain again. As a matter of fact, running 24/0 in my veg unit has the reveg and clones from this plant already putting out new leaf growth.

Thanks guys that's a breeder named Verdant Green (I can't name the place I got the seeds). He's the same one who did the C4DD plants I'm breeding out now (but I should have bred out Rez's Chem D version 1.1 instead and just grew the C4DD).
This GDP clone isn't doing so well. It's been too long in the same soil and I should have used a 3 gallon pot:

Ah, but the shugga! Yum! :bravo:

Your yields are relatively low because of your style, right? The big ones are more impressive, but you get more yield/area from smaller plants.

You've been turning out some gorgeous bud. :thumb:
