Grand Daddy Black Grows A Stack

You really are such a great role model and mentor for new growers. Clean, respected, organised grow area and beautiful plants. Green magic doesn’t just happen. It takes planning, thought and work.

Those little monsters are Schmickey Schmouse! That’s Aussie rhyming slang for fucking grouse, which is just normal Aussie slang for really really awesome!

Lol!

And good morning :)

Garden is beautiful as usual. :welldone:
Hope you and the family are doing well my friend.
Take care.

Stay safe

Thank you Bill. And thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Tra. I can look at your garden and know that you know grouse! :Rasta:

Hello all.

As you may recall, I'm trying to grow an autoflower (Dr. Lecter) in my 2x2 tent in order to produce a start-to-finish grow for my review of the @ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro.

I sent 2 seeds swimming on Nov. 20th (after they had been scarified and given a light hydrogen peroxide bath). They soaked for exactly 36 hours but no tails appeared. I then put them on a folded wet paper towel in a plastic bag and set them on my heated seedling starter. They've been sitting there since then with no cracks apparent.

So today, I'm sending 2 more Dr. Lecters swimming. And to hedge my bet, I'm also soaking 2 of the Northern Lights autos that came with the @SeedsMan Black Sugar shipment.

The "Germination Gremlin" can't hang around here forever! That imp gets around and he's got to be leaving here soon to come visit one of you. I'm not wishing him on anyone, but that seems to be the way it goes!

Thanks for you visit.

I've just been leaving them in the water on my kitchen table in a container till they sprout, 100% on 13 (?) seeds (three grows) !

The longest may have gone 48 hrs ?

No scuffing, etc., just ~1/2oz of distilled water and a spritz of H202 per seed per shot glass (to keep track of strains ;) )

Cheers and Good Luck !

Found it.

Throw them in the dirt.

Break the spell, send the gremlin packing!
Hopefully the Dr will come through. Glad you are trying them out

Omg!

MY EYESSSSSSSSS!

I seriously can not even deal with how horrendous my eyeballs find this method! The seeds mouth all cracked open with their disgusting white tongues out. Legit gives me the heebie jeebies.

Congrats on the health of the pair and flip day!

Where's the fun in that?
Thanks Carcass. I believe they had a rootin' tootin' good time over the past few weeks!

That means something sooooooOoooo different in Australia, unless you actually mean they have been fuckin and fartin of course.

That's not a far-fetched description of what was going on down there. A little stretch, descriptively, but in the ballpark! :)

Thanks Stinker.

Not too much different from my method Stinker. But I use paper plates and I'm thinking that could be a problem. Maybe they let too much heat through from the seedling mat. I'm gonna' try some plastic plates.

Hello grow gang.

It's Flip + 3 for Copy & Paste and they seem content.

The more I looked at Copy (front) they more I realized that at least some of her had to be removed. So today I took off about 10 bud sites but left the fan leaves. She won't miss them and I bet you don't either! :)

I ordered some 3 foot bamboo sticks to support these. All I have on hand are 2 footers and 4 footers. The 2ft. ones will be too short to do the job. The 4ft. ones would likely cause me to have to raise the lights higher than I want to. Threes hopefully will be ideal.

Thanks for taking a peek.

or cut the 4 footers to 3' , plants are filling out nice

Thanks con.

I thought about cutting the fours but I couldn't envision a use for the 1 foot pieces that would have been left. It's no longer an issue since I've got threes on the way. But of course after I ordered them I came up with all kinds of ideas for using the 1 foot pieces that I could have had!

Hello all.

Today I had a return to normal life. I think the Germination Gremlin has left the building. "Thank you. Thank you very much." :)

But my "normal" is not always ideal.

I sent 4 auto seeds for a swim on Tuesday and today I have 2 tails and 2 more tails coming. I'm trying to grow one friggin' auto plant and now I've got 4 potentials!

So normal.

Of course, a tail does not necessarily a plant make. But, once a plant is made I have an extremely difficult time just outright culling it for my convenience.

In this case, I'll probably have to overcome that reluctance, because I don't have room for 4 autos at the moment.

I'm jumping the gun. Let's see what happens once I bury these puppies. I'm going to put them all in peat pucks tonight.

Woohoo! Good looking tails, the spell is broken.

You’ll find Dr Lecter to be kind of polar opposite of Northern Lights (growing)
Dr Lecter will be tall and have really dense golf ball nugs with a hint of purple. Sugary/cotton candy smelling goodness. For the flavor connoisseur who wants to be really high.
Your Northern lights will be a lot more stable and predictable, though.
Dr may require a little more finesse which I know you have. Can’t wait to see what you do with them.

And, since you really don't need 4 plants, they'll all do just fine...

..🤔.if only there were a soon-to-be-unoccupied 4x4 in need of four plants.....

kidding- it'll suck to have to cull 3 of them-I hate doing that...
