I used a old glass half gal Jack Daniels jug and we did the same except we cut the bottom so it could come off n be put back on turned it into a dry bong,water bong or gravity bong !!! But mostly I just made a can bowl like the crack heads lmao.

I'm still not growing but I'm still trying to post. I'm a lost cause!
So a short time ago I was reading where @Lady Cannafan had gotten a "Buddies" kief sifter box from a friend. As is my custom, I "bit" and decided I needed one of those too!
It came today.
After figuring out how to open the thing and then feeling really stupid for having taken so long to do so, I grabbed a jar of the Fat Kid's Cake from a recent grow. I ground enough of it to nearly fill the box and then stuck the box in the freezer.
After about 3 hours in the freezer, I took the box out and shook it for about 1 minute.
LadyC had suggested that I put something under the box to catch any kief that escaped while shaking. Good suggestion! I put a sheet of parchment paper beneath mine. That little pile to the right is the amount that escaped. It's not much but still I was grateful for LadyC's advice.
LadyC also suggested that I use a small brush to gather the kief. The only brush I have on hand is too large for this purpose. (It's the one I used to paint food with sauces.)
So I used that little metal thingy you see above to try and scrape a pile together.
That little metal gadget was sent to me by @Carcass. He sent it along with a sample of his CarcassMud®. I have affectionately dubbed it my "scoop n' zoot," just because! It did an okay job of helping me gather a pile, but I can see where a small, soft brush would do a better job.

I'm going to shake that box again before I go to bed tonight. I'm certain there's more in there to get, but 1 minute may be my go-to shake duration period. So I'll just keep baby-stepping my way along!

You're going to dig that sifter- get yourself an $8 pollen press, and you can make yourself some hash..!
I usually run it through the sifter twice-
the first batch of kief gets labeled #1 kief, the second is #2 kief, because there's usually a bit more vegetation in the second sift..so it's not quite as good..
Put a coin in the sifter with your weed, you'll get quite a bit more kief...
