Gov's Pineapple Chunk Mars II Excursion

Hey Ice! Welcome dude, and please feel free to come by anytime. It's only lawn chairs and canned beer here, but at least we have some good weed.

I gave the girls a cool drink of water this morning. I didn't add anything save Ca/lMg and didn't have any DTW as I didn't give too much. Tomorrow would have been their normal feeding day, but I may wait until Friday now and let them finish their refreshments from today.

Thanks man. I swear they grew 2 inches today. About this time next week will be 6 weeks in veg and I expected to easily veg them until then, but now it's a horserace.

Subbed up for this. Looks very nice, making me wish my grow would end so i could start this too! Your plant is probably taller than mine right now. I lst'd her so hard that she is only 8 inches from growing medium to highest bud.
 
And is that a 400 or 700 Mars II? I have the 400 and for the first 3 weeks of flower had it 12 inches from canopy with no problems. I was advised to go higher, so now it's at 20 inches from canopy. Just wondering if you had any problems with light distance
 
Hey Peytonmanning and welcome to my modest grow. My light is a 700 (draws 298w) and the LED growers that impressed me the most had their lights 24"+ with one having them over 36", all with outstanding results. I figured since these Mars II lights are 5w diodes (drawing ~2.3w) and claimed to provide excellent light penetration (a proven claim at this point), I kept mine between 24" - 32". Mine is at 28" right now and after I flip them, I will raise the light to the highest point and let them reach.
 
I think I'll be getting some shorter buckets for my next grow. Thanks for the knowledge, I'm still trying to get everything dialed in for the next grow. Don't wanna waste seeds I spent money on. I'm way too broke to be doing that lol
 
HOLY COW! I went in and checked them this morning and I guess feeding them yesterday was a good thing. I think they grew a couple inches again in the last few days. Pictures tomorrow in the weekend update, but they've already hit the first rung of the cage (which was the point I wanted to get them to before I flipped them). I'm hoping these girls won't be too unruly. Another few days (if I can make it that long) and I will switch them to 12/12.
 
G'day gov, I see you mentioned the lawn chairs and cans of beer but you forgot to mention the fireworks display your've got coming up, lol. Can't wait to see pictures :) once they hit that res, man they just explode.You feeding more regularly now? Looking forward to the flip, peace gov
 
I'm hoping to be smoking the fruit of my labors by July 4th (only the fresh-frozen bubble though). Regarding feeding, I apologize for being less-detailed this grow, but things really are so close to my methodology last grow that I'm mostly journaling the differences. The frequency of feedings has stepped up a bit, but I try to let them get pretty dry before feeding and I'm still getting a handle on that. Before, I would handle them much more and, without the cages, it was easy to turn them, tilt them and generally check their moisture levels.

They've hit the res at this point. Of that, I'm certain and I've been adding the full 5ml/gl of CalMg from the start. The soup I fed yesterday was as follows: 5ml CaliMagic, 4ml FD part "A", 3ml FD part "B", 1ml Floralicious Plus. Next feeding (this weekend, probably Sunday), I will also supplement with 1ML Liquid Koolbloom.

Welcome to my humble corner Braindamag3. You've arrived at a good time as I intend to flip this week.

So, I decided to go ahead and do an update tonight. The ladies still have some water in the res. It's not much, but it'll likely be Sunday before I feed again. Here are a few pictures from this morning. Cheers.

Observe the comparable pics from the last update. You can see they both grew quite a bit for only 3 days and lolo even passed the first rail. I'm tempted to go ahead and flip them as it would be almost identical to the last grow as far as "days veg from seed", but Thursday marks 6 full weeks and I think paka could benefit. I'm hoping that's not too long for lolo if she matches her last three days' growth.

The hempy diplomat strikes again, lol. Holy sahmoley man those elephant steroids seem to be working. I was a bit worried last update, thinking you might have been wanting to flip to soon, why question the master, lol. Awesome job man, it's getting silly, there's no challenge for you just beautiful buds on the horizon :) Just the way it should be!! Peace gov
 
Well, this morning they have both reached the first rail of the cage and Lolo has actually got her second set of leaves above it. With that in mind, I've decided today will be their last day of full veg. I will flip them tomorrow to 5a - 5p. So, ~40 days from seed.

I fed them again this morning too and went ahead and supplemented with LK 1ml as GH recommends using it starting at transition. I fed as follows: 3ml CaliMagic, 4ml FD part A, 4ml FD part B, 1ml Liquid Koolbloom, 1ml F+. This all came to 625 ppm. I will raise that too on their next feeding by bumping part B up to 5ml.
