Gorilla Breath, Kwazulu, Bag Seed & Autos

Are those pics of sugar leaves or bud? Kinda looks like sugar leaves.
actually bud shots, pulled the bud open isolated a leaf w scissors then scoped it so thats probably why (except that 1st trich shot i zoomed in w the scope)

Oh ok. Could be an early finisher. I have had some 75 to 80 day strains finish in 60ish days. Not a UVa thing.

also wondering if this is a result of constricted roots contributing to early finish. oh hey btw @budgewatch a great video on advanced led only available to royalty in the middle east last night very interesting.

notes from the field: the 2nd test bud of Gorrila Breath hits ridiculously well and it has been chopped,50/50 trichs in the bud. All but one kwazulu chopped and the tester off the kwazulu is a sativa ripper lol. theres a bunch of both types of bud distilled w a small freezer bag of larf and trim into cannabutter of which about two high dose brownies worth are in this cup of tea.

pitta tea w canna, tumeric, ground pepper and fuck ton of high. It's been twenty minutes since consuming, the event horizon imminent and irreversible.
The inner workings of a kwazulu bud from the lower branching. With a two month cure it will be a killer herb, honestly this is one great sativa strain.

Lemon Grape gets its fade on. one week maybe two to go. It will be a light haul most likely but a delicious smoke and fab high and body stone and one i might try to press once cured. (looking to buy one this spring/ summer)

soon she whispers...
And now the monster I fear lurking in this innocent bush.
20210121_175736.jpg

Hula Dancer said to hit over 20 feet outdoors, urged to flower immediately from seed by the breeder yours truly vegged it over a month and some time more ...dunno the tea is hitting. how soon till I'm reduced to stroke like capacity to type. this is my second attempt at the previous sentence. When you typo "I'm " things. are. happening. anyhoo. Imm probably fucked here with this gargantuan potential in the 5x5x7. and oh, there seven more plants, six others now in various stages of flower.
The yellowing occured from being in a short pile o dirt in a liter container too long but uh yeah recovered. Skipped the clone as I'm going to let this 16 to 20 week journey together be the last one till next Fall. heh. six typos.
20210121_175716.jpg

a bunch of what I "think" are gorrila breath clones and two l grapes maybe one i choose to not label lol ill know when flowered. lots of space in the tent my herb is free range organic grown dammit. most advanced flowering to the left newbs to the right.

oh the seed plants are perfect, ripe seeds pulled off each plant to check and yes a perfect mature stash of genetics. Here Lemon Grape x Kwazulu relaxes off a cabinet handle while getting a light trim. I expect ten or twelve days to dry. Shall call forth the hydro lid thing from the darkness for my mason jars, praise the 'zon after all the plants are ready.

im in bed. the kitchen is about two hundred yards away at this point. must. move.
20210119_153220.jpg

pollinated kwazulu. Would so love to see this grown in a five gallon or bigger. these were in one liters filled 3/4s the way up. Next season perhaps. i spelled were 3xs. lol. im done.
goodnight.

204 kwazulu seeds and more getting ready

the LG needs to dry more before seeds start to come out its so sticky too. I've several atm brown and tiger eyed.
Field trials on both seed sets begin late next summer.

Thinned out hula dancer, a very woody stemmed plant remarkable against the last few years of plants. Temptation won and I threw 5 branches into clone mode i blame my canna butter coffee this am. (btw that puck of congealed leaf bud stem butter left after production is the bomb for this. pop into boiling water add espresso grade set side and brew ten minutes, strain. I added a chunk of canbabutter, for professional reasons I assure you. Om mode working in the garden this am.) Deep in tangled woods and brambles these clones will go letting them be the multi story trees they are said to be. Will check on them in four months or so to find out. Cheerful clandestine clone chucking if you will.
20210122_115047.jpg

group shot. kinda.
20210122_115056.jpg

trimmed them all pretty hard actually. I've noticed the Gorrila Breath tends to produce top buds in a nice chunky manner, the lemon grape is much more light sativa in it's growth and so trimmed my 4 GB plants high and tight. LG was restrained to six main colas to concentrate energy on that type of growth instead of 20 plus colas lol. That said I have quad lined a GB clone and shall veg it 1.5 to 2 months more, w top cola production in multiples in mind. if I can get 20 colas of GB that will be a really satisfying haul. The last 2 weeks of veg will be in a ten gallon and then let it flower for the last two months of hula dancer's run so I can harvest both together as closely as possible.
20210121_173141.jpg

a quad Gorrila Breath about to go under a grid and the last of pollinated lg gets its larf on. More cannabutter material and trim hash lol.
:roorrip:
Untrimmed Hula Dancer is a thick jungle. Oh I cut the apicola off every cola in a humble bid to restrain the stretch. Nothing will hold it back much and am not against hedge shearing this if need be. I've kief, buds, canna butter, trim hash and hanging buds in two rooms lol no biggieand if it's a male then a hybrid breeding program will ensue with LG and GB. Win win.
hope this finds you all well
:Namaste:

Sunday musings... how are all of you?
trying to learn mahamrityunjaya mantra in the last few days ...Sanskrit...heck of a language and the oldest known. one of the things that calms me deeply.

Made an apple mango tarte tartin this morning, checked trichs on the lst lemon grape inside a lower bud...

imma calling it all good, with a few days development left it should hit about 10 to 15% bronze if not still love this strain, not a volume production plant just someones passion for a great high from a beautiful plant, weight be damned. fine by me.
20210124_154530.jpg

dry baby dry.
Do the work, get the pie ;)
20210124_151314.jpg

one last kwazulu left standing as the Gorrila Breath buds get vintage.
20210122_185058.jpg

Have been indulging in cannabutter tea 3 days straight now, waking up body stoned making coffee and going out to feed the backyard birds is a privilege and a gift. Feeling incredibly blessed. thank you for attending these last few months, four more to go!
namasté all.

oh good morning one and all, high winds outside, strong coffee and trimming inside. perfect. Humidity outside has been super low aiding in the drying process as everything save for one last kwazulu is in jars and indeed it has been a light haul of quality bud. Quite happy to be frank about it.
1.8 ounces of kwazulu. Rolled a joint w one bud yesterday, took 3 sessions to finish it, pure mango carrot flavored sativa intensity, with a two month cure it will be AAA smoke.
20210131_130500.jpg

Lemon Grape, burnt rubber funk, an hour head rush that body stones you into the couch soon thereafter.
20210131_130443.jpg

20210131_130427.jpg

pollinated and non pollinated group shot. its a very modest haul of just over 4.3 ounces of herb but each strain smokes like hash, super smooth. The Gorrila Breath is tops for this, tastes like blonde morrocan hash with that thick oily smoke from the bowl. the densest of the buds I imagine this would be ridiculous in a resin press and seeing as i have 4 in the flower room in more soil w a longer veg time that this last one i aim to find out.
There are some great takeaways fro. this grow for me, which plants give the most for volume technique (Gorrila Breath yes, lemon grape no) which is a space hog (Gorrila Breath all day long) how much you can get w a very minimal feeding schedule lol not much. (Also I've noticed the more root restricted plants flowered the fastest, matured the fastest. Anomaly? Thoughts?) Using a budgetgrowlights.com product vastly improved plant quality. huge difference in trich productions and bud quality. I had roughly 4 weeks of intense cold outside keeping the tent often in low 60°f temps so i battled that a bit and no doubt kept production down too.
So ive made sure that
. 1)all the plants in flower now have larger containers
2) All on a Big Buds feeding program w stronger cal mag, micronutrients influence
3) trimming the lower third much harder, sooner.
4) this was a straight FFOF soil, now all plants are in a 60/40 FFOF/ Mothers Coco Perlite mix to aid in the root development. I also innoculated the soil much more heavily w mycos this time.
Any observation to add?
lemon grape trim for the cannabutter efforts.

Gorrila Breath... lol i didn't label my clones lol am pretty certain based on leaf and the fact that GB is the only plant I've grown this year w red sugar leaf stems... ive got 5 Gorrila Breaths in flower ive just come to realize and a sixth about to transplant into a ten gallon in veg. LMFAO... oh shit.. well good, in a 3g w minimal veg my GB produced almost 1.6 ounces dried bud, now w 5 of them in 5 to 7 gallons with longer veg behind them they "should" hit a 2 ounce mark w the feeding schedule and added root space, rolling the dice for 5 to 10 ounces. we will see!
G Breath about to go into the ten gallon. All plants harvested w crystaline structured rocks in soil exhibited strong root development it was quite noticeable. So I'm going to keep on w it. 5 hula dancer clones begin to push roots.
20210131_113853.jpg

The time of the Dankness approaches w plants at 3.5 to 2.5 weeks of flower.

So very blessed to have this grow and this forum.
I am a plant lover and acquisition and protection of unique seed stock is something that I advocate for. i urge you to aquire, and without dilution breed these landrace stocks - wild and cultivated - to preserve them and their integrity. Every day there are monsanto reps, carghill reps major Agricultural bemoths, plus Major Pharma reps and yes even bill gates has people out in THE MOST REMOTE places in the globe, looking to corner the genetics. FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS. never mind the money influence on rural original seed stock growers to dilute old stock w modern hybrids (a problem in it's own) the real threat are the bastards in suits. Shit herb in overpriced plastic containers at a dispensary is largely the future.
Like WallStreetBets fucking up Hedge funds to the tune of billions of dollars (fucking delicious) I URGE YOU to fuck up big Agra, big Pharma and Big Money buying and breeding rare seed stocks and freely distributing seeds to those who will do the same. THIS is how we win the fight against thier bullshit monopolies.
not just talking, 240 Kwazulu seeds are but one effort. Ive Malawi Gold coming - from Afropip's original collection no less (stoked. so. fucking. stoked) Tashkurgan ( Afghanistan landrace hashplant) and Afghan 90 (original 1990 Dutch seed stock collected in Afghanistan and stored till now) all on the way, plus more purchases coming. including wild stock seeds, the source of all the plants we've enjoyed and perfected well over 10,000 to possibly 26,000 years of cultivation and sharing. May we continue our ancestors wise work and giving ways. It's up to us.
20210131_113846.jpg

this journal and its first grow, is now completed. The second grow is well established and may get its own journal in time but this one is done and has served it's purpose well.
Thank you one and all.
Namasté,
yogi.
