I used to have a hard time trimming that lower growth just because it had flowers on it...but in the end that weight all gets redistributed, plus better airflow and less of that scrawny growth where pests often like to start their lifecycle. There will be plenty of little stuff for pressing and joints, no matter how hard I try to make it all big buds.Glad to hear that you won't have much popcorn brother
But you’re right- now is the critical time to trim away the nonessentials and put all its energy into those main colas. Generally my autos have been flowering way earlier than this, and excessive branching wasn’t even a problem. These plants want to grow, I better keep up!
