Going Green With JCTJ: Perpetual Autos With A Photo Here & There

We're getting mighty close now... The Zkittlez are only days away from the chop. I thought I'd have them down by now but the trichomes just haven't been where I want them yet. Zkittlez 2 shown below with previous leaf damage really turned out to be a frosty one. Not that they both aren't frosty, but she filled out better for sure. They've definitely put on some weight recently as both plants are nearly at the point of not being able to stand up straight lol.

Where do you like them? I thought I liked a more heady product, so I went for 25 percent. Well by Thor and Odin, it might be too heady.

It was a busy day today. The long awaited Zkittlez harvest began and went pretty smooth. All said and done I ended up with 15 brown paper bags drying at a total wet weight of 493.75g. That should put the first auto Zkittlez in the neighbourhood of 4.4oz when dry. I'm totally happy with that! Despite what appears to be genetic foxtailing resulting in much more slender bud structure they still stacked up nicely. Zkittlez 2 stacked just as well but that pheno resulted in a more uniform bud structure. It will be interesting to see what the weight differences will be between the two.

Bare bones!

Congratulations on the Zkittles mop up. Waiting on the smoke report or, at the very least, the trans dermal absorption report.

Stay frosty gro cha cho!

Wow... I'm impressed JC! I had no idea Michael Bubly made soda too when he wasn't singing.
So frosty! An excellent trim job and you can really see the training that went into it. Excellent harvest JC...can't weight to see the final wait :).

Welcome to 2019!

Hahaha, you guys crack me up.

Thanks again for the kind words, I'm very happy with how this grow went. Once again a testament to the ease and effectiveness of Mega Crop and ProMix.

Today I had planned to chop Zkittlez 2 but after getting up early, hitting some tangerine dream and 3 coffees later I think I'm going to sit around and enjoy my one day off.

I didn't end up thawing that pork shoulder but picked up a couple t-bones for the charcoal this afternoon. Today is going to be a good day! :yummy:

:D I can't wait for a smoke report, I still need to do one on the Strawberry Cheesecake. SC ended up weighing in at 59.02g. It's about what I figured, certainly not a high yield by any means but smelled great all through the flower/trim/dry process.

Hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend

Hi everyone!

I thought it was time to give an update on things since my last post in January in this grow journal. The world sure has changed a lot since that time and I hope everyone is as happy and healthy as ever.

This year I decided to grow a few autos outdoors for fun. I popped a couple seeds in the middle of May, a Seedsman Pink Kush CBD 30:1 and one of my Sweet Seeds mystery pack seeds. Around the same time, I received a couple autoflowers from a neighbour that were on death's door. For the fun of it and the challenge, I said I would do my best to bring them back and grow them out.

They were "supposed" to be Blue Diesel autos and one had already begun flowering when I received it. Getting a little ahead of myself here but the one was definitely not a Blue Diesel and was instead a WW auto. Here is what they looked like on my day 1. They went into 2gal plastic pots with Promix HP and to moisten the medium, a light feeding of Mega Crop.

Needless to say my expectations weren't very high. We had a snowfall around this time so I threw them in the grow tent with the intention of getting them outside for good as soon as the conditions allowed.

+5 days, things perking up.

+12 days even better and getting their first tastes of the outdoor. It was evident the flowering BD was going to be a bonsai plant.... so I rightfully named it the Bonsai.

Not sure which day but these two were taking off.

+17 days

+21 days. At some point, the mutant looking Pink Kush CBD had been dug up once or twice and was not rooting properly..... I should have started a new one at this point but I left it to see what would happen lol.

Things were looking good by week 4. The WW was getting big enough that the 2gal pot wasn't going to keep it upright much longer and needed a better home. I simply stuck the pot in a 7gal fabric with garden soil wrapped around it. This worked out really well for stability and after pulling the 2gal after a few days, it was beginning to root through all the drainage holes in the bottom, from that point I let it be.

June 22 - July 1

Planted two more Sweet Seeds Mystery autos and a new Pink Kush CBD since the first was mutated and no longer growing.

The bonsai when dry, netted a whopping 4.8g :D :D :D - dismal return but at a cost of what was essentially free, it was worth the experiment and saving a plant from certain death.

Here we are caught up to yesterday. White Widow must be nearing end of life soon, I've had this girl since May 10th and who knows how long before that it was germinated. It's still packing on weight, that is certainly one FAT main cola lol.

Mystery #1

Now that my outdoor update is caught up, I should talk about the indoor setup. Tent and equipment has been dismantled for the summer but I've got the itch to start planning my early fall indoor grow.

I was gifted 3 Critical Mass Auto seeds which are definitely happening first. I've yet to decide what else to cram in the 39"x39" tent with them but since I didn't do a LPa this summer, I'd like to have one of those (maybe 2). OR another one of the Pink Kush CBD (with training) OR another Sweet Seeds Mystery. We'll see how these other 3 mystery autos pan out first before I make any decisions, still hoping to see a couple of the red type strains show up. ( Bloody Skunk, Red Poison, Devil Cream, Black Cream and Dark Devil)
