thanks guys...extra thanks BiD!
the way you handle your soil is very close to how i want to do mine. only thing ive added at the moment is perlite for 1st gen to see how it goes. i suppose im trying to 'feel' my way along as much as taking scientific measurements. im as much partof the learning proccess as the plants are, i need to get used to my chosen soil and its little quirks e.t.c
i am hoping its good right out of the bag as any sort of pre mixing on a massive scale is a nightmare.
sigh....bloody azomite. i so love the idea of that material, but im having a crisis of conscience. its a non renuable thats going to vanish faster the more people get into it. im hoping to upgrade my seaweed to a 'sea grown' seaweed, that should hopefully contain all the minerals needed to substitute azomite and its rival.
im pretty certain that if i start making home compost to mix with my organic soil, i can manipulate things like PH based on the materials i use to compost.
ive been tempted to test things like orange juice to add acid and fructose and ill get round to it.
the reason i want to go down this path is to aftificially set up conditions that i can replicate naturally.
i.e companion growing of weed in a citrus orchard with comfrey growing in the gaps between.
i know my current method has flaws but its part of a bigger plan that can only be achieved with lots of time and money.
Where is the babble bollocks thread you promised me?
Ignore my first post... as per usual my starting plans bear little reseblance to reality
Just chat all the shit you want in here now. the *new* plan is to make a fifth and final journal at some point later, but unlike all my previous threads, im going to cheat and run the journal in secret offline. and then post the lot in a single sitting so that any chat can come afterwards. =D
