In a party cup with moist soil and a little bit of water added daily above the seed. I have my cups look like the following pick for run off and o2.

I was thinking of going simple like that. But I tryd that with my LA confidential and blue cheese and killed them though it also couldve been from the ff soil.
My first grow I germinated them under a dome and heating mat. Success! So i think im going to stick to that but this time use my rooter plugs. I have to go soak them over night now in liquanox b-1 and hygrozyme

If it works do not change it. I have used the paper towel method as well but doing party cups and soil has seemed to cut sprouts by 1-2 days.

Funny thing is I always had problem with paper towl method. I dont know why, but They all die when place them in the soil

The way I look at it is the plant is intended to grow in soil so that is how I start them now. Works good for me and if it ain't broke don't fix it.

another belated happy b day, i sprout with root plugs 100% so far, used to do paper towels but root plugs are awesome i wont use anything else

except for 2 autos (my fault) I've had 100% w/ the little peat discs for germing. I just recently grabbed a bunch of lil' grodon cubes, because I'm not really happy using a non-renewable peat product. So hopefully I can get those to work for me in the future.

you can get the peat pods thats what i call em in a coco form at most garden centers way better and very renewable, but the best ever is root plugs the little spongy chocolate cake looking miracles also a renewable source
