GDB's Auto Array

I suspect she has realized that she is seriously rootbound in that small container, and it letting you know about it, especially after a good feeding where you are signalling her to grow yet even more.
That's interesting, @Emilya. In examining the farm over the past week or so, I've been thinking that the autos don't really care for 1 gallon pots. I won't be using them again.

Thanks for your input! :Rasta:

This is probably why it is usually recommended to run autos in 3 gal containers.

I'd like to help, but I've never had that happen- not exactly that, anyway....
although I don't think the added .4g of MC could have done it- I have killed some leaves from too much food, but they died in the "usual" way (slowly turning brown and curling up) they took 4 or 5 days to die, though.
Still appreciate you, Carcass. :Rasta:

What carcass said; not from feeding. I think you would have seen more burning than the crinkly curling up on random leaves.

I'm trying not to completely turn against autos, but...

I think rootbound is a good assessment. You ought to try an auto in a 4 or 5 gallon hempy bucket.
Chef, I usually use 5 gallons. But then I got the bright idea of trying to stuff my 4x4 with a bunch of small ones. So now I've got 4 plants in 1 gallon pots, 3 in 2 gallon and 1 in a 3 gallon. The one in the 3 gallon plant is the only one that's got that nice green color. The rest are slightly paler.

Depending on how much worse that SCC looks in the morning, I just might try to up-pot it. It's a chancy move I know, but I figure the outcome can't be any worse than watching her cruise down the road she's currently on. In fact, I think I'll up-pot all the 1 gallon plants. What the hell! :Rasta:

I’d love to see you try hempy on one of your autos. Just perlite in a bucket with a hole on the side. Autos grow so fast in passive hydro!
I'll give it a try Chef! I've got some perlite laying around. :Rasta:

Can't do it until my current photo plant finishes in the little tent. Probably a couple of months. But I'll definitely try it!

I'll read up on the method. But as the time gets closer, I might be picking your brain for special tips.

Hello grow folks.

A full update today.

I up-potted 2 of the 4 plants I had in 1 gallon pots. The Onyx and the Strawberry Cheesecake are now in 3 gallon pots. Both were up-potted on day 39. Both are getting 3.5 MC.

I hope they don't mind the abrupt change of venue. :Rasta:

SCC is on the left.

I left the scrawny Californian Snow is her 1 gallon pot. I see no good reason to up-pot her at this late stage. She's on day 47 and getting 3.6 of mc. She's trying to do her best!

The 2 Stardawgs are on day 14 and getting 2g of mc. The one on the left is in a 2 gallon pot and has been topped above the 4th node. The little runt on the right was also left in her 1gallon pot because, well, she's a little runt. :Rasta:

The Glue Gelato and Green Crack are both in 2 gallon pots. Both are getting 2g of mc on day 14.

The GG is on the left.

Finally, the Afgani Mass, in a 3 gallon pot, is on day 44 and getting 3.5g of MC.

This one remains short and bushy. She grew oddly from the beginning, having a node shoot out the side. As she progressed there was no where I could see to top her so I've just been trying to keep her somewhat opened up.

That's all of them.

I've got my fingers crossed, hoping those 2 up-potted girls don't stall. I was very gentle in moving them and I played loud music to distract them. They may not know what happened! :Rasta:

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Oof. don't tell me you lost the Manilow 45. That thing was priceless. They look great GDB, and may have been the trick with the loud music.
Thanks, MrS. I cranked up Stevie Wonder's "Journey Through The Secret Life of Plants." I thought that would get their attention! :Rasta:

BTW, congrats on your award, if I haven't said it already!

Hello growers. A quick update on the up-potted pair.

The Onyx and Strawberry Cheesecake were repotted from 1 gallon pots to 3 gallon pots five days ago. They seem to be taking it in stride. In fact, the Onyx greatly increased its pistil production over the past few days.

Both plants are on day 44. Onyx is on the left.

And just for the heck of it, here's a pic of a Californian Snow bud. She's on day 50.

Later!

Hello grow crew.

I have a question about my little Stardawg. Ever since it started growing it's had some funny looking spots on the leaves. I didn't think much of them initially, thinking they wouldn't propagate. But they have, as new leaves developed that also had this spotting. Otherwise, the plant seems healthy, though she is a runt.

Anyone know what this could be? Again, it's been this way since the beginning.
