Gator's Cage

Re: Gators' Cage

Re: Gators' Cage

I might be up to vX.yz by now, with more change forecast. Pix later

Can't wait to see 'em ;)

My GWS did not earn top shelf at the Co-op, but found acceptance.
Recent harvest 8.5z market buds, half z popcorn.
Bristly, pretty and hard < good. Light frosting no stink > not good

g/w yield figures with a fancy factor. Top lights worked less than half time of total.
110 watt for that plus the 250 CMX. 250g by 360w is about .7
I SO want to grow trees around a k watt.

Stinky, sticky and glittery. Like a flash-bang device for military madness.
PX is that with a heart attack; casual scrubbing don't cut it.

acceptance can be taken to the bank and .7 is more than decent.

A k watt? How big a cab you need for that? How far do the plants have to be from the bulb?

I bet the PX is good ;)

Re: Gators' Cage

Yes, 'acceptance' was acceptable at the bank. :peacetwo:
I've little use for it otherwise; I still have sugar-trim from PX = Pineapple Express
This chart, and various journals tell me that a four to five ft cab is right for 1k.
Better yet, four or five k bulbs hanging in an 8 x 10 room
Negotiations in this direction are a piece of work in progress.

This is my current GWS run, and likely my last. Base nutes only, no top light, and a heavy pruning session ten days into flower.

These are my next runs: PX. Lighter yield, more respect at market

I'm going to transplant with OC, water them simply
Your beauties with names, SS impress me.

Re: Gators' Cage

I'm still amazed at how much brighter a bare vertical bulb was in my cab vs having it horizontal with a reflector.

1000w in a 5' space would grow some big buds, no doubt. I've seen commercial grows with multiple vertical bare bulbs in large rooms.

Seems like a great setup for both small and large grows.

I got a 70w MH ballast and bulb for a vertical microgrow in my little cab to see if I can break 1g/w ;).

Your PX are looking good already ;)

Re: Gators' Cage

Looks good in there,'gator!
You'll have some decent buds sooner or later! ;)
That coco makes for a good aerator!
Those plants are becoming skyscrapers! :) :goodjob:
Hope you never have to use a Whizzinator... :yikes:

+Rep bro!
A great grow show!

Yeah, even with the best reflectors you tend to lose 35-40% of your usable radiant energy in a horizontal...naked is better!

If you do a Micro, I'd like to see it! I love Micros. Put a good micro gardener in a larger space and they'll rock it, IMO. Doesn't always work as well the other way around...

Hope you never have to use a Whizzinator.
I would refuse, but sign an affidavit stipulating complete THC infusion. :rasta:
"No, you may not have my precious bodily fluids for your perverted purpose."

I have grown decent buds, TL. Set-up is good but it's about genetics:
000_0475.JPG

I wanted more than 160g and got it, but GWS is not Pineapple Express.
I got 55% more of buds worth 40% as much per g. All my clones are PX now.

Small bulbs have a shallow grow zone sweet spot, and require accurate grow control to max yields. Geometry favors big bulbs for efficiency on three axis. Plus, they pump more photons per watt. Too bad that CMH Retrofit bulbs aren't available larger than 400w.

Re: Gators' Cage

Is that a halo coming of your cage or just a reflection of trich's... :)

What comes to mind when I say Wendy's? ______ , Yeah buddy! ;)

Re: Gators' Cage

WOW Propa-G...I hope my SQ's strive to rival the resin production of your GWS! Those are BEAUTIES!..'nuff said!!:slide:

How close to harvest do you start to flush...if at all?

Re: Gators' Cage

CLOJ, my bad I didn't Propa-ly label that Pineapple Express shot. Very resinous, very stinky and nice.
GWS is OK, but not like that^

Every time I water, I flush 15 to 25% extra through. I use light concentration nutes till the end.
Dirt may build up toxins in need of flushing, but coco coir stays homogenous.
5mls Cocos A, 5mls B, 2mls ProTekt (usually), 240ppm tap water. Straight through.

Re: Gators' Cage

Current GWS, nearing the end. Four plants in a 30" half circle
000_1174.JPG

Cut 2 weeks ago, coco coir, dilute nutes
000_1179.JPG

Three bonsai moms, 3 and a half inch pots, coco coir
000_1178.JPG

Two weeks in tap water, no nutes, no KLN or Clonex, no bubbles, no shade for the roots, no humidity dome. T8 shoplight
