Gator Uncaged

Thanks THsea, I didn't know the genetic origin of my G13 Labs PE.
My new Barney's Farm seedlings are Pineapple Chunk, Lucy and Top Dawg.

The name game of cannabis strains, gives my butt
intractable pain
Lone salesmanship, purely and plain
Good stuff helps me stay less insane

If there were only a shortage of humans in the business willing (nay, eager) to take advantage of the confusion. Listen to my naive a$$, they intentionally CAUSED the confusion in order to make a staggering profit. Now I have to look at the flowering times to make sure I get the right strain of Jack Herer, and I know now that the strain "$hit", is nothing more than somebody just renaming Skunk #1. Man, I wonder how many seeds I got that are all the same thing..... :(

Just wait until MJ legality: Monsanto will immediately patent every name of weed there is, and another 1000 possibles like they've done with every flower, heirloom or otherwise. Then they'll play with the genetics so that no viable seed can be produced and auto everything so that moms can't be used to 'cheat' them of outrageous profit on all cultivation. Lawsuits will fly like TP-ing an entire University campus. How can they patent plants? Just ask our dik lickin US Supreme Court! Be prepared to puke when they tell you, who have already be sold. Out! You may not know who owns you, but for sure it ain't you.

Hence my logic in building my own seed bank, and growing meds that suit me - nicknames and 'strain name' are less than tertiary priorities for me.

Too true Gator. You can't beat the security of a seed stash, or several seed stashes, in multiple locations, not that we're paranoid or anything lol.

least we are going before all the shit hits the fan one day. Just think of the people who decide to start growing 20 years from now and they have to pay Monsanto for the "privilege" of getting the seeds.
This is why I don't sell clones. I give them or trade them with the people I know. Someone gave them to me at some point so I will pay it forward. Only time I will not do this is if the person I got them clone from asks me not to be handing clones out. Karama ya know..............it goes round.

I also gift away dozens of clones and small plants to New Patients so they can enjoy growing their own Medicine.
Nice thing to do Alaskan1 +Rep

Hi P-Gator,

Things are looking very nice in your garden... I know what you mean about the smell  :yummy:

X- I really like the sticky icky comment

I don't like seeds. I don't produce them, nor save them. They are a PIA necessity to get new strains, which eventually become useful when plants can donate cuttings.

This 'newer' bush will not get much taller, I won't allow it to.

Older plants have a date with Mr Fiskar in 10 days :)

Just in case Mr Fiskar doesn't show up for that date, maybe the old girls wouldn't mind getting set up with an old pair of twins I know. My lungs, that is..... :)

My best Curly from the Three Stooges impersonation : NYUK, NYUK, NYUK..... WOOP-WOO-BOO-BOOP..... woop, woop.

Ohhh, Wiseguy, ehhh? NYUK, NYUK, NYUK...

Nice lookin' bush, Gator! :thumb:

You are so right about the Monsanto thing, you made a shiver along my spinal column. I often wonder about full legality and the craziness that will ensue. In some senses pseudo legality might be a better deal.

Oh, and +rep from me too, Alaskan1. I am a full on karma believer. I'm the kinda guy who tops off parking meters for people, so I totally agree with you. That's what I like about this forum. A lot of people who look out for each other, and so many people willing to go out of their way to help others.

I hate bumping pictures off the page. The people deserve to see your bush, Mr. Gator.... ;)

Oh, and I just realized I hadn't rated your thread - sure looks like a 5 star journal to me. :thumb:

I could sit and look at that bush all day. I just want to reach out and smell it at touch it. I think you have a nice bush!

I read the first lines of my last post: "I don't like seeds, blah blah yada yada".
For production, cuttings rule and will continue to, but...

How can i deny the pleasure I derive from the scent and sweet promise from a different kind?
Despite having full measure of Indicas that I treasure, when tropical Sativa calls, new love strikes pure.
Seeds can live for years, and help to dry my tears after Mayhem takes my case and destroys my prize.
At least if I've a stash of seeds packed to last, healthy new growth again can please my ass.

Shorty looks so much better to my eyes, but here:

The larger plants are bigger but not better, and the bush has no bananners. I'm happy :peace:

Having this good stuff on hand beats just knowing where to get it :morenutes:

Though ripening nicely, extra space shows poor planning

RH has been below 30 today, thick dense buds are less likely to rot

Some previous runs showed me no further growth at this date, but not this.
Swelling seems to accelerate, hooray :cheer:
