CRAP!! Late again! You still have any tickets for the side show?
I'd like to see how others deal with the start/stop of growing from seed to flower, harvest, reset, and go again. I'm more of a rotator, getting clones ready and vegging before hairs even show in the ones currently in flower. It keeps me busy. So, I figure one of the best on here could show me a thing or two about filling the gaps between separate grows, and waiting that long.
Question: Grow A+B and Bloom A+B. How "exacically" is that mixed? Sorry for the mispelling but it's from a movie my daughter is watching. "WHoooo AArrrreee Yyyooooooou?"
Holy crap I didn't even see this!!
better late than never though right?? =)
Great work friend, you yourself have a very clean sterile environment
Well its super simple you add you A to your res first them give it a stir then add equal amount of B to the res stir some more and Whola.
So... my question is why have an A+B in grow and have another A+B in bloom? That seems to over complicate things. Is there something I'm missing here? Why not just have 1 grow (A) and 1 bloom(B) instead of A1+B1 then A2+B2? Basically what is the advantage in having 4 bottles but only using 2 at a time, first grow A+B and then bloom A+B? I guess I should have been more clear in my original question, and as such, I guess I deserved the sarcasm...
The Grow A + B will have a combination of NPK nutrients leaning more towards higher N which is desirable in veg.
The BLOOM A + B has more P and less N which is what bloom phase wants.
What I like about BPN is they give feed charts using the same two parts in different combinations for each phase of growth. Example being early veg equal parts A & B but in crazy flower growth 2 parts B to 1 part A.
Hope that makes sense.
That answer is to a question I did not ask....I'm not asking about the nutrient needs of a plant.... I'm not that much of a noob, Bassman...
My question is STILL:Why not just keep it simple with 2 bottles, one used more of in veg and one more in bloom, and be able to vary the ratio as needed. What is their point and perceived advantage in having 4 bottles? That's what my question is about... not the NPK ratio.... I know about how nutirents work and how they're mixed, and what is needed when... I'm asking for the thinking behind 4 frikkin bottles!
Some fertilizers need to be diluted before being mixed together, otherwise they react w/ each other and clump up and are not available to the plants. Some ferts (GO 3 part) specify to be added in a certain sequence for the same reasons I'm assuming. I'm sure Corey at BPN could explain this better.....salts, chelates, blah, blah, blah.

I'm using quite some bottles
I hate it, but the plants love it, and it's relatively one of the cheapest brands.
Nice plants Godspeed, nice strains, they look good already.
Any new pics available?
I can't improve on your answer OG13, but I agree that Corey sure could. I think even though fewer bottles are easier for the grower, the technology, chelation, and raw materials get difficult and pricey the fewer bottles you have. As does your ability to customize how you administer it to the plant.
Some of the most beautiful plants I've ever seen were grown with 1 part nutrients in hydro. I'd love to see Corey make a product like that - the simplicity would be such a benefit to so many people.
BPN's 3 part should be done in a specific order, too. Specifically, Micro first - then grow or bloom in any order after that. I put in my additives -- silica last. I then PH balance to 6.1, and then add micro, grow, bloom from the 3 part in that order. Typically that brings my PH to 5.6 after adding the nutes (in the stage I'm in at the moment).
As an aside: Since PH balancing prior to adding base nutes, it seems like my reservoir runs "cleaner"... Not sure if that's the reason, or something else... I have very alkaline water I work with from the tap/RO.
