That said, yes, I did quite a bit of watching and learning from the people on 420. Not one person here has complained one time about Top LED Panels. They are the least expensive I've found, they do have a warehouse in the US which is nice for warranty issues if they arise, and Dennise grew some of the most dank, beautiful marijuana on earth under those lights. Considering that Dennise was a novice a short time ago, you can clearly see how well her grows look under her Top LED Reflector Panels.

I also liked that Sara is so readily available and she is easy to work with.

Outside of those things, I know little to nothing about how LEDs work, or their spectrums, wave lengths or brightness. I am going to hang them the exact height Dennise hangs hers and do whatever she did. I may even go out and buy a spigot to replace my bathtub faucet with! I already have the WEN shampoo! :)
 
This is my new grow closet. The info is on the photo. It's smaller than I thought. I have a larger closet, but I want this closet to be with me in my studio. That way, if I'm in there breathing all day, it will get CO2. I may move a TV into the studio so I really do spend much more time in there. Can't hurt to do art more and more. My brain is turning to clay, so may as well eat paste in the studio! I may do some IKEA hacking for a work area. Change it all up.

Hey GF, I'm running my panel off an extension. Its just a good one with surge protection etc. Maybe I'm doing wrong though lol, but haven't burned down my mates place yet :)
I can't wait to see you indoor fun! :)
 
GF, with the physical dimensions of the lights you bought in mind... Picture turning the bins you have in there for scale 90 degrees. One light will be hung over each bin in the same rectangular pattern.

For comparison sake, the electrical draw of your lights is considerably less than the draw of the cheapest and least powerful microwave you could pick up at Mega-Destroy-The-Local-Economy-Mart.
 
Peege, you mean turn them so they are at 90 degree angles to one another? I'm not set in how I place the lights or plants yet. I just got the closet cleaned out, finally. Mark and I needed a fight anyway, so why not fight over his ten million wires to printers, monitors, CD drives, DVD drives that we no longer own, or use and/or are broken in that closet! Who even has an S Video cable, let alone a dozen! That is the stuff I cleared out of there along with box loads of stuff his mother sent by US Mail from Wisconsin of his junk from the day he was born! She couldn't leave it in her 4k square foot house with the fully finished basement and storage shed building out back. I mean, she lives in that little house alone, she needs the room.

FFfffffffffffffft.

Anyhoo, I wonder if the hanger things come with the light. Should I buy a few of those yo yo hanger things? I can order those today so they'll be here when the lights arrive.

Also today, seed order. A few autos, a few others. All suggestions welcome. Best auto? Fastest?
 
Still one of my favourite autos and one of my favourite smokes ever is Barneys F Pineapple Express!!! :) damn fine plant not a big girl but the smoke istruly devine and hard to build a ttolerance to! :)
 
Ah, okay, I understand what you are saying now about placement. As long as I have room to work in there, it's fine. I can always easily just pull the plants out of the closet to work on them.

LA, I have that Barney's Pineapple Express on my list. You told me that one long ago. :)

I also use General Hydroponics Liquid KoolBloom and KoolBloom Dry in flower.

I use General Hydroponics Liquid KoolBloom at 2.5-5 millilitres from the start of flower until 3 weeks prior to harvest then use General Hydroponics KoolBloom Dry for 2 weeks at 1/4 teaspoon or 1.25 millilitres per gallon and discontinue use 3-5 days prior to harvest.

I've been using the Liquid KoolBloom at 1ml per liter. Are you saying I could go up to 5ml/liter ?
 
The question about the heat between the 3w reflectors and the 5w Mars II.... The Mars II does certainly put off more heat but it is still minimal and I use the same type of fan and exhaust as I do in the tent with the 3w and there is not 2 degrees difference in them. I like that the 3w reflectors have the grow and bloom switch and the Mars II does not have this option unless you buy one of the great big Mars II's. I can't remember which one it is. They just made it available a few weeks ago but it is much higher dollar than what we are talking about here..... If I was looking to make a living I might look at it differently but for the money and the product (I only grow for myself) I don't think you can beat Top Led and Sara. I now have 8 Top Led lights and have purchased 9 (1 was a gift) and I love my Top Leds...:yahoo:

About the defoliation... Are your outside girls getting plenty on penetration (I know the sun is great) but is it to thick for the sun to get all the way down and is there plenty of air flow.... If the answer to all of that is yes I would not do a defol either but if your girls are kinda tight in there and need to be opened up a bit I would take off the bigger fan leaves and let her breath but then again you know I strip my girls like $5 hookers.....:loopy:

The 90 degree angles... maybe not that extreme.... I do have my 2 in the closet at an angle but not straight up and down.... More like a 45 at best. I will try and get ya some pics of it when they wake up in the morning.....

The lights do come with hangers and if you want to raise your lights to the plants you will need to order yo-yo's but I prefer to raise the plants to the lights. It is easier for me to raise my girls up on something if the lights are to far than raising and lowering the lights. I found it to be quite a pain in the qzz and building or using something to make step shelves is much easier and then you don't have to worry about your light falling... Just sayin'

Your yard looks beautiful as always and other than that ugly leaf your girls look beautiful too.....:circle-of-love:

General Hydroponics Liquid KoolBloom can be used at 2.5-5 millilitres per litre as a foliar spray during flower from the start of flower until 2 weeks prior to harvest. I usually use General hydroponics Liquid KoolBloom at 3-5 millilitres per litre as a foliar spray.

Yeah, maybe later I'll do a spread of my whole house and close up photos of me with my name. THEN I'd be afraid.

I'm small potatoes. Nobody cares about what we do. The little, quiet people who leave everyone alone. If I started doing other stuff with my MMJ, then they could hunt me down...if they wanted. I think there are bigger fish to fry than me with my few plants.

But I guess it's never bad to be super careful.
