GaBoy's 2017 Outdoor Adventures

. . .

Now going to take 2 clones and hope I can turn 1 GDP. into 3!!! My other clones didn't take by the way. Couldn't tent to them for a couple days and they dried out .. Hopefully I have better luck this time. Going to use some aloe Vera gel from one of my plants as well to better my chances.

Congrats on your GDP girl.

Have I suggested to you the use of a CloneBucket? I water mine about once a week and check the roots daily (because I like checking for roots :) )Other than that it just sits there under the Veg light.

I just checked prices and they are about $50 - I paid $35 about 18 months ago.
It usually has clones, but when it doesn't, I leave it on anyway. No issues except I rerouted the cord to make it easier to check :)

You haven't but I was looking at it in your journal! Looks very interesting and pretty cool proof. I checked a local retailer and they were out of the. I het but they had a few other contraptions that I wasn't too interested in. It's crazy, in all my years of growing I have amazing success with germination but terrible success cloning smh. Just keep trying stuff, getting stuff...won't work. I actually just took 4 cuttings this afternoon! Hopefully my luck turns around with these otherwise I'm going to have to seriously consider trying to find a cloning bucket.

Good evening from my part of the world! Hope your all having a wonderful day. Today I decided to take a couple of clones from the 2 plants that have been confirmed female, TS1 and GDP.. All I used to take these clones was a piece of aloe from one of my plants, jiffy peat pellets and some soil.
420-magazine-mobile586727733.jpg

I simply soaked the pellets, took my cutting, trimmed them up, cut under the lowest leaf node at a 45 degree angle, poked them into the aloe gel from the end that was cut and and saturated them with aloe gel, pushed them into the prepped pellets, put them into some small pots with soil just to the top of the pellet and watered them in! Much easier and quicker to do than it sounds lol

Now they sit in the misted dome under the CFLs. Fingers crossed this time!

Maybe trim the leaf tips more Ga? All except the top two? All looks good. I might have to incorporate a aloe spray too. Could you explain the ratio and method for a Aloe Foliar again Ga? Much appreciated! Great Day!

Good day Dutch! It may be hard to tell in the picture but all the leaves are snipped accept the top 2, top 4 in ones' case and no problem! For the Aloe drench x foliar spray just add 1/4 cup of Organic Aloe Water per gallon of purified water and apply as desired.

Good green afternoon all. Just thought I'd give you all a look at the young ladies today. They've really been enjoying and stretching toward the sun these last 2 weeks they've been getting outside time. I'm happy with everything at this point . going to make some aloe x coconut water foliar for them this evening.

So, GDP. was having some stability issues in its half gallon pot and I feel like she could be growing faster than she was so I put her in a 2g fabric pot and as suspected, she was damn near root bound. So, an extra gallon and a half of cooked living soil, some Mykos powder and she should be good to grow until she goes in the ground. Dunked her in a gallon of aloe water solution...

Threw the rest of the plants in the new greenhouse for a nice tropical evening as the sun sets .

Thanks so much!! Something tells me the Aloe Foliar is a must I will journal your info and off to the health food store for some Organic Aloe water. Im going to do more research on foliars anyways cause Ive seen the difference.
Never seen a lady bug like that! Cool stuff!!
Great Day Ga! Your plants look great!!! Baby Blue is a Indica!!! I like it!! :)

Oh yes, I swear by foliar feeding. Mainly with Aloe water, coconut water and molasses. Been doing some research about foliar feeding with steeped, cooled chamomile tea as well! Will look into it a bit more before I add that to my regimen.

We have lots of these "Twice Stabbed" ladybugs. I like them because of their flipped colors .

And yes, I love that Baby Blue.Dragon is showing indica dominance. I was hoping for that as I should be able to veg longer and keep a shorter stature

"So GA, what do you do on colder days"

...I have an answer for you! Some of you may recall the clay pot heater I spoke of before. It used to heat up my big greenhouse pretty well but I am only to assume that it will do an even better job in a smaller space...like the new greenhouse! I set it up on a spare tile I had lying around and an hour later, it's nice, warm and humid inside! .

Sorry I didn't take a picture of the clay pot build before I set it up. It's too hot to handle now but I will add some pics later once it's off and cooled. Nice power-free heat .

Sweet!! But 3 lil candles? How long does it last?

Sweet!! But 3 lil candles? How long does it last?

Yes!!! Just 3 little tea lights! The candles will stay lit for about 4 hours themselves. If you want, you can light 2, then about 2 hours later, light the 3rd! Or use bigger pots and 4 candles. After the candles go out, the pots let off heat for about 2 more hours. The greenhouse will hold the heat for many many more as long as you keep it shut. YouTube it! People use these in their houses to heat individual rooms!

I haven't replaced my greenhouse thermometer x humidity gauge yet but it feels like it's in the 80s inside.

Not just heat :) Fire replaces oxygen in the air with co2 , so it's also a little co2 generator :)
