G-1-3 Grows With a Little Help From NASC

Your outcome reminds me the research about optimization of plant shaping for uniform buds yeald. Not sure if their paper is finished yet, but they explain methodology and outcome in videos. Maybe that will be helpful : )

Ill have to watch this tonight, I enjoy the science behind growing as well as doing it. It's pretty amazing to see how the science is backing up a lot of these techniques that have been used by growers for a long time. Like these dudes are doing it in secret and trying to figure out the best way to get yields and quality bud indoors all while evading detection. They did it without the Internet too, just friend of a friend tried this and got this result kinda stuff. Pretty awesome shit.

Great job @g-one-three
Well done mate 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I do have a question though g
The buds you left on Elsa, is there much weight there ?
Cos what I’m thinking, when I first started growing, I was getting a lot of of the larf stuff on the lower branches, and by the time it dried out, I was getting just a joint or 2 from the buds, and I didn’t think it was worth wasting the plants energy growing em, that’s when I started stripping all them lower branches off and mainlining, concentrating on the top buds, I haven’t looked back since, much bigger and better quality buds, is there something like that maybe you could do with the scrog, I know its a different growing method from me but I thought I would just mention it 😊

Them buds do look lovely and frosty thou mate 💥👊👏🏻👏🏻

So in reality your supposed to strip anything that isnt going to turn into a cola bud. However it is really hard for me to do that with only being able to access the front of the tent. Once those suckers are wove in it's super hard to figure out where 1 bud ends and larf begins lol. It's partly laziness and partly I couldn't reach. I bet there's probably maybe a little more than an eighth. I'm just letting it marinate to see what happens honestly lol.

Ya know @g-one-three I thought the same thing after I sent that message 😂 let’s not forget our backs mate, Sod all that 🤣

But then I thought, after you burn your house down cos if those damn mites, you can elevate your whole grow room and of course have it about 5x5 meters. Plenty of room then mate 😂🤣

Great work g-one 👏🏻👏🏻, and Amelia’s looking gorgeous too 👊😊

Hey G👊😊
Sorry I haven't been very active this week, the flu terrorized our house. All good again now tho.

How's the drying coming?

Amelia is looking pretty darn sexy. She must be almost ready. Miss Sticky will get chopped in the next 48 hours so it looks like we started and finished pretty much together.

When are you starting your next grow? Got your seeds picked out yet?

No problem buddy. I'm glad your on the mend that flu is a real bummer! I've been dodging it for the last 2 years but I know it's guna get me eventually lol.

Drying is moving slightly faster than I wanted so I sealed up the box completely. I may end up jaring it soon and try to redistribute that inside moisture outwards.

My next grows already up and vegging lol hopefully cutting into that sativa grow time.
Panama and Strawberry Cough. The panamas are just slightly ahead of your Durbans and the strawberry is ahead of everyone lol.

I think your already in my new journal but if not this is it G-1-3 Grows Strawberry Cough And Panama.

Checked on Elsa's buds and shes drying almost too fast. I'm thinking of taking everything off the stems and bagging her in a Grove bag to help slow her down. The outside of the buds are dry but inside she's still a little moist. I have buds in a jar with a hydrometer to see where they come out. Here's one of the colas.

lol that's right. I forgot. This flu shitkicked me.

Amelia, @North Atlantic Seed Co Bermuda Zour
She's coming down tomorrow. Her trichomes are just about where I think I'd want my indica buds. She's right at mostly cloudy with a smidge of clear and the amber is just barely noticeable. I smoked a sampler of her I took about a week ago and her high was nice and pleasant. I'd bet she's right about at the spot before heavy couch lock will get me. She's no longer smelling like burnt rubber either it's sweeter now but with a sour stink. Her buds are frosty and heavy. She has consumed most of her fans and the pistils that she had thrown out are now orange and receding.

😋 That's My Sweet Spot! She is Nice and Chunky! ❤️
Looking good G-1-3! Nice and frosty❄️
She's a beauty G😍. Those buds look really chunky. She should be a great addition to your stash!😎
Thanks for the compliments but she did most of the work lol.

It was chop day for Amelia. She has a couple nanners show on the lowers and she smelled awfully nice, so it was her time. She's really oily, like almost wet oily and my gloves really weren't sticky while handling her. She has some stunner colas that probably will result in some awesome pics when dry. I only took off the large fans and left the larger sugar leaves to help slow down her dry. She's got an odd gas/diesel citrus smell I just can't put my finger on. I figure she's in the 4oz range as well. By no means my best yield but I think these may be some of my best quality yet.

Well it's a wrap on this grow. I'll be posting a smoke report in 3-5 weeks or so. I've already got my next grow started and I hope to see you there. G-1-3 Grows Strawberry Cough And Panama

Thanks again for everyone who follows along with my journals. I appreciate all the support and feedback. :thanks:

How was that net? Branches and shit all woven in there??

It’s a blast isn’t it!

Lol honestly I just cut the buds right above, then cut the trunks and the whole thing comes out.

Elsa's dry bags were showing really uneven hydrometer readings so I dumped them out and mixed them up to try and keep both bags around 58%. It's a good thing because the centers were still damp. I must say the bags aren't hay smelling just a really nice pleasant scent. It's not very strong citrus like it was when it was growing but I'm hoping that it comes back out during curing.

The buds stuck together in the shape of the bag. This may be the most sticky stuff I've grown yet.
