That was lights on, I checked them this morning and they peeled up, but I will give them their first TP tonight. They look thirsty...
So I’m undecided. I have a 5 gallon homer bucket and some bakers racks, if I dunk I plan in doing all 4 in the same bucket in my tub. And letting them sit in the bakers racks for a bit after tilting out as much water as I can. Or I’m also ok with top feeding and mixing in a 1 gallon water jug and giving a nice soak until slight run off. Doc recommended a strong TP for the first, but at 4ml per gallon of soil.If you have any questions about the dunk process or amount of drench to use let us know.

I’m assuming if I too feed I just break down the 5 gallon recommended recipe into gallon form and repeat as needed for the 4?
Sounds like a planI was gonna say do 30ml of trans but if doc said 4ml then put 2.5 gallons of water in your bucket, add 1.5ml of tea and wait a few minutes before adding 16ml of trans. Then dunk each plant one at a time, they will float and you will need to add a coup,e cups over top so have something you can dip I the bucket to get those cups, let float for 3-5 minutes, add those cups over top and then lift, tilt this way and that way draining out most of the excess water until the stream slows to a drip, put plant back in saucer in tent and then repeat for each plant. Sound good?
Dunking is the preferred water method, but sure is a PITA!
No dunk for me.........always top water........have never dunked...... plants always turn out ok!
I remember you saying you don’t dunk to save product. How do you mix? I ask so I have both methods to compare, just Incase the wife isn’t impressed with me in the upstairs bath tub with plantsNo dunk for me.........always top water........have never dunked...... plants always turn out ok!
Very interesting!Yep, I’ve adopted Duggs approach since I don’t have plants to use the extra left over after dunking them. So for a 1gal pot I start off with around 1-2ml Drench plus 1/10th that amount of tea... so around .1-.2ml I put that in 1qt water. Seems perfect for 1gal pots.
I like the idea of dunking also, gives me some time to really inspect the plant. I deliver heating oil so somebody nights around this time are late. So nice to know there’s a back up. I’ll probably do he dunking every Sunday if the plants are dry, if it falls in the week when they are dry I’ll top feed. I will dunk for the first however and get them good am doing happyAgreed KB! It's seems like they take forever sometimes and if I'm running short on time or patience, I'll just add more down the top.
Yeah, I'd say you turn out some pretty ok plants Duggan! there is something cathartic about dunking, I enjoy the time spent with each plant.
I like this idea also, especially if life happens to be busy at the timeYep, I’ve adopted Duggs approach since I don’t have plants to use the extra left over after dunking them. so they stabilize in the h2o and don't intermix with each other
