FutRfarmers First Grow With QB's & Doc's High Brix

I pulled the yellow leaves off the Northerm lights, didn’t take any effort they just pulled off didn’t need the scissors. The leaf left on was still very strong and attached. They look much better. Lights go off at 1 them come back on at 7 tonight. I will check the weight of the pots tonight. :rollit: Thanks angry, and ween I’m for sure grabbing patience

Last night gave them a small amount of water around the edge to get the roots going searching and to see if they sprung up. They did!! Checked them this morning, however I didn’t take a pic. Think a good soak with 1/4 trans? Once they get completely dry and lite

After 16oz of water they are looking much better, far from good but much better. Maybe time for a good soak once they dry out. Possible 1/4 trans

I posted over in docs about how good they're looking. It's so,important to let em dry out good. When you feel they are dry, pots are very light, much lighter than when you fill the pot with moist soil. Patience young grasshopper, ha! I'd say it's ok to give either 1/4 trans or even a full trans, when DRY. let's see if @DopyLemontree or anyone else chimes in.

When posting pics, upload them then use the little camera icon to post em.

:passitleft:

I will let them completely dry before trans. I will also get used to the pots and wights. hopefully after the trans the little ones will be caught up with the bigger ones and I can start the vegg or wet/dry cycle. again Thank you for all your help, hopefully I can toast you one in about 4 months or so :high-five:

Big change since Sunday with a little water. Pots are much lighter but still have some weight. What do you think Angry and ween, keepnthe 2 smaller ones in water and give the 2 older ones a light rescue to get things back on track? Also since the Northerm lights has had a trim already, think I should top it?

They look great Farmer! I don't think you need to rescue but @DopyLemontree may suggest otherwise, I think he is the one that suggested it earlier...? Sorry is the NL one of the bigger ones? If so, they're ready to be topped but maybe give em a little more time to fully bounce back...?

:welldone:
Yes NL is the bigger 1 in the back, the one that had all the yellow leaves. Maybe a 1/4 Trans with a good soak? I agree on letting them get a little stronger, I’d like to see those leaves shine

I may change my mind and suggest a full trans for all 4 when its time but let's see what Dopy and other brixxers say. I only say full trans because that will feed them real good and you won't need to worry about giving them anything for a while, next feed would be straight water. When pots are very light and the lowest leaves start to droop, dunk em in 3 gallons of water with 30ml of trans and 3ml of tea. Maybe do the 2 big ones first then add a 1/2 to 1 gallon of water to dilute the solution a little for the little ones...?

I'd really like to hear what others suggest, even if they say I'm off my rocker, I just want to make sure I'm not giving bad advice. If needed, I can summon the high Brix brain trust, ha!

Let’s summon brother!!! I’m hoping to atleast start the bigger 2 on the schedule come Sunday. But we will see how they bounce back by then

They look to have had wet feet. I usually always use solo cups too, but I'll drill holes with my pocket knife around bottom and one hole directly in the bottom of cup. I usually give little drinks of trans and yea till they are ready for first drench. Looks like they are on rebound from transplant :Namaste::passitleft:
Thank you buck! I’ll probably give them a little drink of trans and tea to help them along when they are dried out

The new growth looks to be healthy to me so I'd remove the yellowing lower leaves and let them dry out completely. You can dribble about a 1/4 cup of water around the outside of the pots when the top dries out to promote root growth at the top of the pot but don't over do it. Now that they are getting hooked up in the new soil I don't think you need a rescue drench, just look to the new growth and if it looks good then when dry do a normal transplant drench. I wouldn't expect those pots to be dry for about 3 weeks to a month after transplanting. They should feel almost empty when you lift them. If you wait until the lower leaves start to droop you'll be at the perfect time to drench them. Patience is key. I'm sure you are checking in on them regularly so I doubt they'll get to the point of wilting. Even if they did they will bounce right back after the drench.
