I have a shit ton of the quart size wide mouths, works for me. also how do I preserve the buds for as long as possible? I do want to make oil also any tips on that? we can talk about that at the time I just want to make sure I don't need to order ed rosenthal's book

it's holding at about 5-6 inches, doesn't appear to have a bleach issues and heat isn't a issue at all these QB's are amazing I don't feel any heat until my hand is virtually touching the light. I'm concerned it's still to close but I don't want to raise it to high and affect the amnesia lemon, lights are about 16 inches above the rest of the plantsWow nice looking plants farmer. Duggan and Ween are giving great tips. Ive never di a full 24hr dark before I cut, I’m always pulling one plant to chop, while others are still growing in the tent. So I can’t do it, and just takes longer to dry. But if you can, do it. Duggar’s right if you watch a time lapse video of a plant, you can see the leaves rise and fall with respect to the light/dark cycle.

sounds excellent to me, I'm sure I'll have plenty of bud to try a few methodsI'm gonna do this with my current 4. The 2 small ones are almost done but the 2 big BCPs have a few weeks left. Trimmng this time is going to be a breeze! 1st 2 will take an hour or so then the 2 bigguns will take 2-3 hours. Plan is to take any leaves with no resin, leave the rest, wash, hang dry for 3-4 hours then into paper bags and in the fridge for a low and slow dry. If your interested farmer, you do what I just wrote, each bag gets about an ounce or so of wet buds, lay the bags flat in the fridge, check in 3 days and bounce the buds around a bit just to mix them up, do that again in about 3 days then let sit for 2-3 weeks, then you put in a jar with a hygrometer (can be purchased at pet store in reptile section) for 12-24 hours and check the rh, anything above 70 and back into the fridge for more drying and at 70 or so, you can burp them down to 62 or some use a rice ball to get the rh down, some use Bovedas for the cure and some don't, I found the smell is better without but also had some that dropped below 55 so had to add the Bovedas to get back to 62 and left em in there. Other jars are doing just fine with out them. Here is a Lik to that very informative thread, DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest but you may want to read the first few pages then go to the end and work back a few pages or so to see what th latest methods are. I think I did a decent job of explaining it. What you get with this method is some of the best smelling and tasting weed! That said, I've only done it a coup,e times and the usual method of hanging to dry in the tent for 5-10 days (I've always been right at 5 days but the slower you dry the better) works great too!
I'll raise it up to get it about 8 inches away I can go higher just not sure if it will affect the amnesia lemon bing 18-22 inches away I'll give it some attention tonight at lights on. also what should I be trimming at this point? just leaves and which leaves should go thanks for the help cheers!
haha answered while I was typing thanks bro, the lights are pretty powerful so I'm sure the girls will get plenty of lightYou could raise plants that are low but it's not really needed. With my goliath, light weighs a lot so I just mount it as high as possible and leave it there. Once had a shorty plant that I just put on a box to be about same height as others.
so I can still take smaller branches even if they have tiny buds forming? I was looking last night there are some that just don't seem to look like they will do anything except starve for light, hell some even lighter green instead of that nice dark waxy green. I know you wouldn't suggest it if it wasn't ok, but as I'm learning I must askFor pruning...Farmers...get down on your back , on the floor between them...have a look at all the crappy (going no where) growth. All the lil tiny branches , well below the canopy. Prune them off with clippers/scissors, if they are too meaty to pinch off. You will be able to see wat i mean if you get on the floor and look up....that's the best way to examine exactly wat needs to go! One method i use , is to treat each branch separately...'cleaning off' all growth from the main stalk up....for about a third of that branch....know wat i mean? That is a great way to maximize yield and it helps direct more plant energy to other , more critical areas...like nice buds..lol. Have a look ...you will easily be able to tell what needs to be pruned. Cheers man!
Oh ya,...and about the BB and the light....just keep a close eye on the very top of her...if she starts to bleach...move her. Would be a shame if she got too badly bleached.
taking these smaller branches and weaker lowers won't affect the rest of the plant. I'm assuming it will actually help the plant as it's not wasting energy and can focus on the nice bigger buds we can see in the pics( I know that's exactly what you said haha just drilling it into my brain the way I know how)
