Fudo Myoo's Organic, LED Homegrown Journal

Need to keep an eye on this. Early K issue? Excess or deficient? It’s the Neville’s.

That might do it Fudo! 1400 is a lot for now maybe.
I think maybe. Rev said too much light/heat can cause K issues. At least I hope it’s that simple. I’m more concerned with the K-mag. Rev says not to use in the mix but can work. I use very little in the mix, it’s loaded with good stuff and I’ve used it before with no issues. I’ve read with the combination of green sand, it’s magic. It’s Langbeinite.
The only other thing I’m really hoping it’s not is a ph issue because they’re sativa. The hybrids are perfect.

Yeah that was an awful guess. The hot spots read like 6300 lux which is still way to much especially in veg but I’m not sure it’d be enough to cause the K issue.

Got ‘em all trimmed up and ready for flower. I’ll give them a couple days to recover then flip em. I took as much off as I dare but in organics the leaves are the batteries so I try to take only what’s necessary. I filled up the cloner but left out the MP/B2, I have plenty of those seeds.

Have a good night.

Great cleanup and clones! That's my project for tomorrow so I can flip next weekend.

I find it tough to tell in the early stages: will they go brown, curled? Depending on what's next will make it clear if it's an issue and what type.

Jorge's deficiency chart says older leaves will yellow first with a K def if that helps.
Thanks Shed! :thanks:

Well I do believe the lights were the issue. There’s significantly less yellow on the tips this morning.

I’ve been using Recharge very sparingly, like barely a sprinkle, not even enough to change the water color. Today they got a full tsp per gallon. I’m expecting major happiness.

I moved the light up again to get the 900 umol hot spot down and the girls just chased it up. I think I was burning them but we’ll see. They look a little better every day and they are growing like weeds.
I’ll tuck them today and flip them when they’re all facing up again. That’ll give the lowers just below the net a chance to catch up. The Neville’s is a wispy thing, she’s a very cool plant.
Question about cloning, I let the heat mat surface get to 85F for about 6 hrs trying to get the temp right, I didn’t think it could get that high. The water didn’t feel warm really…It’s at 73F now. I was thinking because it’s so early it wouldn’t hurt them. Does it matter?

The Malawi is a huge plant. It’s good that the Neville’s was later and more “viney”. I can weave the Neville’s in between the Malawi, otherwise they’d never fit in this net. They may not fit now lol.

It’s been a busy morning in the grow room. The girls are relentless. All the stepped on tops have turned over the top of the net and the lowers are just beneath it. So I flipped them.
Which brings us to the clone problem. I thought I’d have a little more time and have yet to get a tent. This is my temporary solution.
I also lowered the flower lights and set them to 40%. They’re 600w of 3000K cob.
This gives me between 40000 * .019 = 760 umols and 50000 * .019 = 950 umols across the top of a 5’ * 5’ flower foot print. Seems a little much right now, we’ll see what they look like tomorrow.
Peace.

Here’s a couple of lower Neville’s leaves I cut because they were laying on the heater. I’m definitely not seeing a deficiency here and the tops are darkening after I raised the lights, so I think we’re good.

Congrats on the flip! They certainly look ready to go. :zoom:
This is my temporary solution.
I can see why you had to wall that in with the light bleed around the edges and bottom of the door, not to mention the little window(?) at the floor.
Inspection passed
With smiling colors!
I think we’re good.
I think they're better than good!
