From Blurples To 29 DIY Cob's - Cannabeard's 1st Journal

Lmfao, still dizzy from turning my head around lol. Yea the AN supposedly don't need to add cal-mag. Idk every time I added in past it caused leaves to spot up. Didn't use much, idk.

My plants were around 18 inches tall when flipped, half of them more than doubled. Others stretched 50-75%, overall a lot better than last time
The GH FN has added Calmag so I'm only adding 3ml/gal but that was 75ml I added to my 25 gallon res lol Added 1ml of AN Voodoo Juice and about the same of GH Floralicious then I'll mix Bloom or Veg on the fly when I need to feed nutes.

I don't think adding it was my problem before since I was using flora trio and I don't think there is much Calmag in that stuff, plus I had to PH everytime it was a pain and a half. Now I just PH occasionally and it's always within range unless I add something with a low PH like Floralicious.

Just using the trio for my DWC bucket and cloner now, probably give it to my gfs bro when I'm over hydroponics which will be as soon as this Freedom Dream is done haha

At least you had a good run before having an issue, I'm pretty confident I've dialed everything in now.

Ph perfect nutes are the man!

My two worst affected plants I'm hoping bounce back, seem to be a bit happier everyday but everything planted after those haven't had an issue yet :thumb:

The runt that was the worse affected is bouncing back.

Gorilla Glue and White Widow Autos are exploding with preflowers, about a week until I switch them to bloom nutes.

Got all the vegged plants up sized to 3 gal pots and have started to undergo some training. As you see they've filled out quite nicely.

I just now got notebook. Trying to keep notes, but I keep forgetting to write anything down lol. I wing it mostly, that's why I'm looking forward to running doc's kit. It seems simple once you get routine down. No more testing ph, that's what sold me
Yeah I am probably going to keep notes too, keep having to flip thru this log for when I popped what seed and it's a pain in the ass especially when I'm trying to start a new auto each week lol

Yeah docs kit definitely has that going for it, I like easy haha

Hold up you added to much calmag and you get brown spots? Maybe that's what it is ! Thank you so much I haven't even though about this because this is my problem... I

My problem was not enough calmag, I think too much makes the leaves curl and is called "the claw" not sure if it causes brown spots as I haven't ran into the issue myself. I think I just seen your post earlier today on another thread but have you checked the PH at the roots?

This is how I discovered and fixed my main issue. Water your plant until you get enough run off to test the ph and if it's above 7 under 6 that could be your culprit. (Unless you have a fancy soil probe pH meter)

Mine was around 5.3 because of the peat moss in my potting mix that I remedied with the addition of limestone to the top of the plants already planted and a few table spoons per gallon of any planted after.

Also looks like it may be nute burn possibly tho, especially the brown at the tips. When you over fertilize the plant has to get rid of the extra nutes the only way it knows how and perspire thru the leaves and causes browning of the tips. I don't know how recent that is but maybe cut the dose slightly from what you give them last time and you'll find the sweet spot.

Every strain has one, some are nute hogs but some not so much. The only way to find out is to push them tho ;)

And the curling upwards could be heat or wind related.

So A check your ph, just use a very weak nutrient solution ph'd to 6.5 you'll need to water to the point of run off and test that. If it's in range of 6-7 you're set and don't need to worry about lockout. Then give it a little bit of stronger nutes dialed back slightly from what you did at last feeding (to replace anything leached from the flush) also ph'd unless you use PH perfect nutes than fuck the ph part.
B make sure the temp isn't too high, lights too close or too much direct wind from fans can all piss them off.

Other than that you should be set \m/

Yeah you made me rethink my feedings, barely ever go to run off unless I am doing a flush now. Since my soil PH is stable and my nute PH is always within range and if I feed them "water" it's usually a weaker mix of nutes or just calmag, voodoo and floralicious. Definitely get to feed them more since I am not waiting days for the pots to dry lol

Pulled the first blue dream auto since the next one isn't far behind and I've been really hurting for smoke and I've been really limited on how much I can medicate, my guess is going to be close to 4 oz when dry which is the high end of what this plant yields and I had issues in the beginning so not too shabby.

I've also contacted another clinic since my referral from my doctor has only gotten me the run around and am now just waiting for the appointment.
