Forest Gump Is Growing!

Like I said, the baby clone my friend gave me has exceeded my plants, although I am happy with mine. She is about 3 foot or more and still reaching out. Gonna harvest mine and give her room soon!! Gotta love friends!!

A friend in weed is a friend indeed. :D

Sorry folks, been really busy with outside work. ANYWAY, I have been harvesting my "gigantic" 2 or so foot indoor babies here and there. First ones I dried in the grow room...too warm and too fast, after curing they still smelled like lawn grass, but were terrific otherwise. Second batch I slow dried (in my extra shower) at 74 degrees with 52% humidity and a good breeze so it would take a good week, then cured them. UN-BELIEVABLE!! Aroma is there, and way more potent and pleasurable!! My buddies freaked out after sampling it! Not the biggest buds, but have a few oz bags stocked up! And more hanging and drying now! I actually did it! Yay me! Buying two more tents and letting them get 4 foot or so next cycle. By the way, I HATE the trimming part, too tedious!

I still have the bigger momma in flower...had to really tie her up because the buds are making her sag. She does look sweet. This is the clone my buddy gave me. I also gave him a nice 8 or so inch clone from mine a few days ago. Nice to trade! A few weeks to go!!

Congrats, Forest!

Here again...I am using 1 gallon pickle jars for curing. I ended up with 6 jars that averaged 3 plus ounces a jar. I only filled them halfway to allow for air space. And I have 5 new clones going...got the glass globes at dollar general for a buck a piece..lol...hey..it works! Ordered a like new 4 foot by 8 foot tent from Offer Up a few minutes ago...60 bucks!!! Plenty of grow stuff on there!! They just gave up I guess. Gonna buy one more tent for veg. And going to the farm in an hour or so for a bunch of compost. Gonna do the same...1/2 compost...1/2 forest ...bunch of perlite...but all in bags this time. Lord help me...lol.

Still havnt used a ph pen..got lazy..did not buy one..seemed complicated after reading about them. And I have a hard time with the scope. So I harvested when it felt right. Must be working, my buddies are really happy because they were tired of couch lock crap.

Anyway...after slow drying, I put all the buds in a big stainless steel strainer with a breeze from a fan, stirring gently a bit now and then before going to the gallon jars for curing. I AM NOT saying I am right..just that it worked for me.

Can't tell you how to call that one, but I always enjoy getting caught up on your journal.

Back from the farm...with about 200lbs lbs of natural compost. That and forest farms and a bunch of perlite should do. As long as my ph is good to start I am happy...go from there I suppose. Same as last time, except I know more now. Going with three tents. But running ducts this time for the filters. I LOVE walking in and smelling it, but..well better be safe.

Ok...what I am gonna do is get my new tents...raise my clones..and not give a damn about all the complicated crap. All this garb about all the logistics and such bores me. Why do people make it so complicated?? For ego?? Just grow..I personally do not think you need all the crap to grow. I am a hillbilly and I will struggle on with what I have.Sorry, not trying to be an ass, but damn...the basics to me are LIGHT...(SOME) NUTES...and learning when to water. What I am saying is everyone has a wildly different view...so i went with the middle of the road...kinda safer...lol

For what it's worth, I wanted simple and thankfully found a way to make it simple. Soil is also forgiving and I need that! :D

Congratulations forest! I bet when you started this journal, you had no idea you would have got this amount of weed from your plants at the end! Great job man! Your journal has been great to follow along. If you start a new one, please post it here so I can find it easier.

Yours doing great man, you just keep doing you! People make it complicated because theirs a science behind why a plant grows. When a person looks deeper into that, they can figure out the science behind what makes a plant tick. They figure out what ph works best for said plant, for it to absorb certain nutrients at those times. When I tell new growers to keep it simple for their first grow. Your doing exactly that! Keeping it simple! As you grow and get a better understanding of how to grow, you will learn new ways to improve your yields.

It’s been great following along! Look forward to your next endeavour! :thumb:

You are right, I had no idea I would get a decent yield from my little plants...or any yield at al!!. I worried a lot, but took all of your folks advice..thank you!! I learned how to water by just a sense and looking at them....I learned to NOT be afraid to water..I learned thats nutes are great IF you have common sense about it. Still have my big momma to harvest soon. Have the clones going. Setting things up for a better, easier transition from veg to bloom with new tents. My lady friend said..."Wow..I am impressed and ready to do it right". Came home...third big bedroom was cleared out and empty...she said we need three of those big tents....lol. Her words were.."well if we are gonna grow ten or so, we might as well go for more and do it right" Scary!! lol!!!
