The trichomes are the sugary looking bits on the buds/flowers and on what are called "sugar leaves" on the flowers. Not good for smoking, but good for edibles, tinctures, and the like. (ETA: for clarity - the sugar leaves are not good for smoking)

I am sure trying brother!!...My routine: In the am unzip the tent door 1/2 way to control heat...In the pm before lights out, zip up almost closed for the night because of the air conditioning. Next day...do it all over again. I know it isnt scientific, but it has worked for me....somehow. How the fuck am I getting this lucky???
Yes..I really do seem to be getting a rhythm here. I have got to the point where I do not actually measure the nutrients with a teaspoon...just glance at the feeding chart and pour a bit from the diff bottles, depending on which girl I am feeding. I always go a little light though. I did notice a teeny bit of burn maybe at the tips of the fan leaves, so that told me next time (in my feeble mind) use only water next time. It’s all about getting into a rhythm, and it sounds like your doing it perfectly!
My biggest dream? See my main girl fill out and show my buddy in Oklahoma that a hillbilly can grow a huge bud too!! But I will be happy with what she does since I just started!
Aw shucks...thank you. I have quite a sea of buds going on right now! I have struggled with temps the past couple days. Have had to recharge my central air a few times because of a leak. Good thing I have the gauges and 25 lbs of refrigderant!! I need to pull the A coil off and do a minor brazing job, but hard to do in this heat. Aww...the struggles of being a grown-up!! I have a few spare window air conditioners, and some stand alones, but they look tacky in a window. Might have to put them in for one day to make the repair if I can find the time.Looking fantastic Forrest!
The energy of excitement your putting off is contagious!! Im filled with joy that your having such success!! Keep that momentum rolling!!
So anyway, with my new scope, I see clear trichomes. No cloudiness thus far. Hard part is holding it still, because my hands get shaky! I think maybe, just maybe all will turn out well for my first try! The curing part worries me, but oh well. From what I have read I should flush with no nutes a week or so before harvest? Seems everyone has a diff opinion sometimes.
I try to rest the loupe somewhere on my face because I've got really shaky hands too. I'll press it against the side of my nose or up against my brow to help keep it from shaking. So anyway, with my new scope, I see clear trichomes. No cloudiness thus far. I could see them!!!!!!I try to rest the loupe somewhere on my face because I've got really shaky hands too. Totally relatable!
A pic of a later staged plant that is stretching out way above my most mature, soon to harvest one. SHE excites me!...reaching for the sky and filling out quite nicely!!!! They are all so cool, and different attitudes!!!! She smells way different...like peachy tangerine..lol..and freaking sticky.exactly what i did! it is hard to get good pics with the lights and all...they look better in real life..lol!exactly what i did! Then I was smart and took my shaky hand of the pot I was using for support...wallah! I could see them!!!!!!
I know right now that if I did not get a scope and just judged her by the pistils I would have harvested Way early. Pistils are maybe 75 % amber, but the trichomes are still clear. Yep, still learning!it is hard to get good pics with the lights and all...they look better in real life..lol!
