Nice plants! Very healthy looking. As long as you don't screw up the dry/cure, you will have some high quality buds. I can't stress this enough. It takes some good timing and planning to nail the landing. In my opinion, the most difficult part of the entire grow cycle takes place after the plant has been harvested.

I agree 100%. That's why my drying room is always setup at 61-63 degrees, 50-55% humidity. With lots of air moving, but never blowing directly on the buds themselves. Because it'll promote drying, and Im not trying to dry them fast. With the above settings your buds will cure while they hang. The reason I do it this way is because curing is actually the process done before drying. Im not saying bud can be done only one way, just putting my way out there

Today is the first day of week 6. They were fed Madusa magic, Demeters destiny,Gaia mania, Zeus juice, & beastie bloomz. Sorry for not getting around to posting anymore pics,but hopefully today ill have a little time to get some taken.

fopho - I beg you - can you talk a little bit about your curing technique? I'm starting to bring in my first harvest and would love to get some advice for the best cure possible.

When you have time could you pop over to my journal and take a look at the "drying chambers" I put together. I'm hanging the trimmed branches (holding 68-70 degrees, 42-48% RH) in the chambers, leaving the door open about 1 inch - enough to allow some airflow from an indirect fan).

That's where I'm at with the bud off the first plant. Three more to harvest so give me some details so I know if I need change direction. How long should they typically hang? When is the best time to take the buds off the branches? I had planned to continue drying them on screens before the jar cure. Good plan or not?

Went down to my local indoor garden supply shop to buy some pH up & was given 6 bottles of nectar for the gods. Was curious if anyone has used it? They're 32oz. Bottles too, so I have plenty lol. Hope its worth a sh*t. Any thoughts?

I use the demeters destiny calcium supplement.Its nice because it doesn't have nitrogen like regular cal mag.

Thanks so much for popping over and giving me the scoop on your cure method. I actually have Rosenthal's Grower's Handbook and you are right - he reverses the process (cure then dry). The section in his book is pretty brief - I think you fleshed out the process better!

I don't think there's any way to keep my RH high enough without additonal equipment. I'll have to consider this for the next grow/harvest cycle. Immediately after hanging the trimmed bud in my "drying chambers" the RH is about 55% and it slowly declines each day. (The temp is holding steady at 68 degrees). The Tangerine Dream I hung 4 days ago are now at 38%. I stuck the bucket of fresh trim in the bottom of the chamber hoping to boost humidity slightly. The stems on the TDs are still bendy so I'm hoping against hope that they don't cure/dry too quickly.

Again - thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I figured you would have a proven plan and you were generous to share!

applegate was wanting to raise her RH, so I thought would share how I did.

Items needed:
1. Small fan as seen in photo or one like it
2. Piece of wire
3. Bath towel
4. 2 metal paper clips or something similar

5. Portable clothes drying rack
6.18gal. Rubbermade container

You fill up the Rubbermade container about 1/4 of the way up,then place the towel down into the container and fasten the other end to the portable rack by using the metal paper clips,then use the wire to securely fasten your fan inside the contsiner at a safe distance from the surface of the water. The reason we do this is so the fan can blow on the waters surface to cause evaporation,and the towel will wick up water from the container.

If any of you was wondering why some of my fan leaves were missing tips or fingers. Instead of removing the entire fan leaf that's blocking the lower buds, I decided to just trim enough off. This way my plants can still use the fan leaf, but now Im getting far bigger buds lower down than I did on my last grow.

Good technique man,
Noob mistake during flower is cutting leaves off! LOL I used to do that and the plant sure was pathetic in the end.
I leave mine on too now, but tuck them instead. Even the crappy leaves stay on.
