Fopho's 2nd Grow - Ace of Spades - Da Purps & Platinum Blue Dream

Should have a small update today. My pH meter had broken, and my soil pH was at 5.5 for like 5 whole minutes lol. Ran some 7.0 water through & it jumped back up to 6.4-6.7ish/8. This could of been a disaster, had I not been so vigilent.
Figured something was up after checking the pH of something I knew & it being off by like 2.5 or more. So instead of reading 4.0 like it was suppose to it read 6.5. Checked my soil, it said 7.5. F#%k!!! They probably heard me yell it 2 counties over, but everything is all good now. Anyways like I was saying, ill have an update with some pics later today.
 
I stopped checking the ph of my feeds ect, soil is normally buffered to around 6.5 and will self regulate back to this after feeding. I was running into problems a couple of weeks into flower with every plant I grew, I finally worked out that the ph up I was using was sitting in the soil and raising it's ph causing nutrient lockout. Since I retired my ph meter, I haven't had any issues.

Good thing you found out early mate.
i checked the ph of fresh tap water when i first buffed the ph meter and it was 7,4. So every few days before ph my solution i check the ph of fresh tap water. as long as it is 7,4 my ph is ok and go to go. an easy way to be sure.:thumb:

Thank you & Im sure it could be better. Tuesday 26 January 2016 will be the start of week 5, today is day 27 I do believe, forgot to add that little tid bit of information

Here in about a week ill be adding a 9 band 300w LED light. With IR,UV & 100 3w nodes. Its suppose to replace a 600w HID light, but I figure it will go nicely with my 1000w HPS
 
Fed them yesterday morning. Gaia Magic, Zeus Juice, Madusa Magic, Demeters Destiny & Beastie Bloomz. Sadly the photos was from the day before. So Im sure you see the slight purpleing on some of my leaves(gone now)Today is the 1st day of week 5. So counting this week there's about 5 more weeks of flower left. Give or take a few days. Ill get some nice close ups at some point today or tomorrow.

Nice plants! Very healthy looking. As long as you don't screw up the dry/cure, you will have some high quality buds. I can't stress this enough. It takes some good timing and planning to nail the landing. In my opinion, the most difficult part of the entire grow cycle takes place after the plant has been harvested.
