Flytier's CKS Dwarf Low Flyer - Fall Of 2017 Indoor Grow

Anything lol. I remember the last time I was out there. We rented a cottage on the ocean in Tatamagouche NS. Every morning at dawn id go into town and fish in the river......I brought my trout gear, of course not knowing what to expect lol. I caught 1lb mackerel for hours til my ex wife called and said "where's the Tims you said you were going to get" hours earlier, lmao.......hence the "ex", part.......

I'll see what I can do for you. The Bay of Fundy's not quite the east coast but it's close enough. What kind of fishing do you have in mind?
Had a blast at Joggins fossil cliffs too. The chef was incredible for a tiny out of the way town. He used to be the head chef at the Prince hotel here in Toronto......"retired and living life", he explained.

I can handle that. That's where I know the good fishing spots anyway. Did you ever try out the flies when you were at your brother's?
The flies were donated to my son's vest. I was at the river this morning to check conditions and everything is looking great for this weekend. I have a vest and tackle box full of stuff, he's new to this whole responsibility thing so Ive given him the task of taking care of and stocking up his new Columbia vest. I / we got him started ......thanks again! I'm sure after the weekend you will see one at least of your flies hanging out of the mouth of one of his fish LMAO. He's coming home from college on the first weekend specifically to go fishing with me lol.

Sounds cool Guy. I've also taken to making my own vests. Someone gave me a sewing machine a couple years back, and my mother was a top-of-the-line seamstress back in NF, so sewing things comes as no obstacle in my repertoire of craft skills, let's call it. In the past few years I've tied flies, sewed, carved wood, soapstone, alabaster, and numerous species of seashell, including mother of pearl cameos; I've made hiking sticks and knives done lots and lots of photography and photo editing, and now I'm into horticulture/botany. I have to keep my hands busy or I start to get restless.

So what program's your son doing in college? Getting my B.Sc. was one of my favorite experiences. I did Environmental Biology at Memorial U. back in NF.

Yeah you're a wealth of knowledge, that's for sure. I'm the same and back in public school when the teachers offered classes away from our school that we went to everyday, I jumped at the opportunity one was home economics and one was woodworking..... Clearly that's where I got my woodworking background. My mother taught me to sew by hand and with a machine and as far as I'm concerned it's just another power tool. I can build anything, just don't ask me to wire it LMAO.

My son is going to college in Peterborough, he is taking his welding apprenticeship. He wants to go for his g-3 ticket so that he can become a pipeline welder.

Day 12

The girls are doing quite well in the growroom this time around. I'm doing good (so far) in avoiding killing them with kindness. My past indoor grows were kind of loved to death. I have what seems to be a good soil mix with the fish compost inoculating the commercial soil and giving the critters a good start.

Here's all five of them - a noticeable change from a week ago.

And here's the biggest one. She has a bit of a crumpled leaf, but keeps chugging away.

So far so good. Lots of space for five dwarf autos. Is there any point of trying to train a Low Flyer, or is it best to just let them do their thing?

Yeah, they look great so far my friend. Nice light green.....congratulations!

I better sit in on this one too. All this talk about fishing makes me twitch. I tournament fished walleye out west for several years. Taught my wife to be a pretty good fisherman too. I've never chucked bugs....thats just wrong.... but if I hang out maybe I can reform you two.:high-five:

Oh, and a nice start to the indoor season as well.

Not Sure If you can train them but my next and second grow indoors Will be auto's. Subbed to ride along with you.

I grew autos out on my first grow. Although only 2 of them turned out to actually be autos, the one I left and didn't train (I double topped her), had 30% more bud on her than the trained one. Not a definitive answer, but I'll never train autos again.

I'll keep that in mind and just leave them be.

Nothing wrong with fly fishing now. Some of us are just more well-endowed with patience and skill than others.

The Low Flyers are definitely off to a nice start, for sure.

Well, it's time to roll a gagger and head over to the chiropractor to get my spine cracked.

Thank you for This. I think there Will be 3 or 4 different strains in my next grow so No extra to compare I think..

They probably trained auto's enough already .

Love the walleye fishing too Scrog. Up by my brother's place every visit we head out around 9pm to the local fast water between 2 local lakes. 4-5 " live targets......do well every time. Biggest we've landed there is 8lbs. Love the muskie, just missed one on a figure 8 2 weekends ago under the boat lol. Trout.....whatever.....we get a beautiful strain of laker here called a Haliburton gold. Found in only a couple of places.
