I feel I can wait but what do you think Dugg?

So here's where my suggestion that you slow drip a cup of water down the top comes in. Now is a great time to do that....or not.

The reason I do it is because I want roots from the very top, to the very bottom and on all sides. Roots chase moisture and this is how you get them to grow to the top of the medium as well as the bottom.

If it were me, I'd drip 8oz of water on top and wait another day or two before dunking.

I always thought the same thing. I like the pots really dry to dunk, but after the first few runs and seeing root concentrations on the bottom half of the pots, I figured adding some water when the tops dry out couldn't hurt...lucky me. I still have more roots at the bottom, but it's better.

Yeah....this last run I had super solid root development everywhere except for the top two inches. It actually caused one of them to have a difficult time standing up after transplant and those top two inches kinda fell apart when they all got popped out of the #1's.

Next run I am gonna be trying to add a little up top around the edges of the pot to try and have the roots fill the pot right up to the top.

Morning folks,
I went to give her 1 cup of water this morning but she was starting to wilt so I decided to dunk her instead...

I started with 1gal water, 6ml TP and 1ml Tea. I started dunking her when I realized that I didn't double strength... I quickly pull her out, placed her on a saucer and added another 6ml TP and 1ml Tea. Then I dunked her normally. I really hope I didn't do anything that could hurt the plant. I needed to act fast. Let me know if that was the right strategy... In any case, I'll learn something.

I played a bit with my environment. I placed my probe in shades areas as Graytail suggested on PC's journal. I also enhanced a little bit the light intensity. I'll post pictures tonight.

:passitleft:

True, now it's too damn bushy down there!

Question, this is not a test but more like a quiz, how many days till next water/feed? :hmmmm:
Haha! I'm also wondering when to prune but Doc is the driver of this run and I'm merely the passenger. Let's wait for the next steps!

I plan next watering to be in 3 or 4 days.

Helluva job here, Flump!

Great answer! So your estimating that's when the pot will be nice and dry, try fitting in the cup of water when top is dry. Docs gonna have you trim on day of transplant probably....

Awesome work Flump! :high-five:

100 percent correct.

I'm looking for alternating nodes. The plant will flower much better when it is ready to do so. I usually don't transplant until they need dunked every day......but every other day, or every 3 days is fine, provided there are alternating nodes, etc.

And yes, prune, transplant and bloom the same day. FWIW, this is a window into how I personally do things. Others do them differently, with great success.....my way isn't the "only" way, but it does work....

This plant is now growing normally....what a difference.

Hay Doc it shows your character when you say others do it differently with great success. I see on your thread different people doing things differently and having Great success. It goes to show how versatile your products are. Thank You for all the effort and time you put into this system. My plan is to stick with your kit and become more familiar with how to use it and get my environment dialed in as best as I can.
Just another happy costumer :high-five:
