FlowerNose & NezFleur Grow More Autoflowers - Coco - LED - 2017

"Massive buds" seems like as noble a pursuit as any! :thumb:

I need to read up on autos and best practices. Let me know if you have any favorite reading material when it comes to autos, Flower.
I surfed YouTube for years learning about growing. I was most inspired by Grow Pot Cheapy's results with autos. :)

The light produces more heat than the exhaust system can remove. This leads to a temperature rise in the cabinet above a reasonable temp for the plants. Only way to reduce the temperature is to reduce the heat. I do that by turning the light off when it is too hot and back on when it gets reasonable.

When did you guys get that light? I don't remember seeing it in your other pictures. Its a Mars light no? How do you like it compared to your DIY LED?

We got it last week. :) A couple posts back I mentioned it. Our neighbors generously invested in our grow. It's a good light! It gets the job done.

The old bulb light that used to be in there is illuminating my "art studio" in the spare bedroom.

I don't really compare it to the DIY COB Nez built. He wants to build bigger and better lights and he will. The Mars Hydro will help us accomplish that goal by keeping our girls alive while he works. :D

Looking good guys! Do you have any experience with The Northern Lights auto your doing? I noticed her bud productions hasn't really kicked in gear yet. I ask cause I have my Northern Lights in dwc, if you remember, around day 46-ish.

Well, it's the end of day 53 and my NL still only has pre flowers.

I haven't grown Northern Lights before so I don't know what to expect. :)

Day 54
I've been taking so many photos with the idea of posting, but then I never get around to writing a post. Gotta catch you up.
Here's the rough time I've been putting Gorilla Glue through. She's so vivacious I keep having to knock her down. This is all in the last 48 hours or so.

When I checked this morning, she had added inches in height.
420-magazine-mobile1512615026.jpg

She's really a pretty plant.
420-magazine-mobile690967679.jpg

She's even getting a little trichome dust.

This is running long so Northern Lights will get her own feature later. :)
.

Northern Lights. The plant that could. There's no stopping her. Today it's all about pony tailing.

If you use LEDs and spend half the time in your garden as I do, I recommend getting glasses. Tending and training NL since the light upgrade was a real strain on my eyeballs. I'm glad I had a pair of LED glasses already that I grabbed from Amazon.

The glasses not only make looking at the lights bearable, but it kills the red light and almost corrects the colors. :)

I have a nice green pair that I have. Love them things. Dont need them too often because I generally bring the plants downstairs to the couch and coffee table to do my work with them. But I still need them when I am working in the tent. Plus it keeps your eyes safe which is the biggest thing.

Putting the side lighting up has been killing my eyes. Even with the shades on I hate to look and turn off the side lighting as soon as I open the tent. I need to buy the Cadillac of glasses - mine work but I'm still worried about the net effect.

That is honestly one of the biggest reasons I bring my girls away from the tent. I don't want to damage my eyes. I am 20/10 vision away but need cheaters to read up close. I don't want to do anything that will affect my far vision. Plus its easier on the back than working in the tent.

My mutant Northern Lights has a polyploid top. :D Just what I said I wanted! It's so cool looking already.

I've been focusing training on filling the area of the cab. Today I went through curving all the branches over and out. This is yesterday morning.

Right after the training today.

Six hours after that.

Not a huge difference, but I brought the canopy down a half inch or so and filled in the corners a little better. :)
.

Intrigued to see you grow that Royal Critical. Is it an auto as usual for you guys? I have a single seed of photo RQS Critical coming as a freebie. Supposed to be super high yielding.

Day 1. A little more than 24 hours wet and Critical has opened her seed husk. No pics. I closed her back up and put her back in her warm place. There's a smallish cabinet that houses the stove exhaust vent in my kitchen. It gets cold up there in the winter and stays hot in the summer. Nice and toasty right now for my bean.

Day 56. Gorilla Glue is hairier every day.

The shape of her.

Increased nutes for GG starting tonight.

Day 56. This Northern Lights is so effing beautiful. I lowered her light by about 3/4 inch. If she tolerates it, maybe I'll let it down a little more. Such an even canopy. So. Many. Tops.

She's finally getting sexy too. Did I tell you? She showed pistils several days ago and has been filling in ever since. Yesterday's pic of the polyploid branch shows the new flowers. :)
