Hi,Your ladies look great @Flittermouse
I, like you did not have anyone to help or ask questions when I started growing. I believe I have a good handle on growing now, but this plant never fails to amaze me. We do a lot of the same things like the solo cup to check root growth, but I use a second cup to protect the roots from the light.
I feel I have a descent handle on growing. I have had multi indoor kilo plants and my average yield from one is about a pound or so. The reason I ask the question about your grow area is I have a 4x4, 3x3 and a 2x4 in one of my spare bedrooms. I find it easier to control the heat and RH for a whole room then just the individual tents. So the door on my tents are normally open and turn so no outside light effect the plants. If I need to work on them after the lights go off I work under a green light. Anyways.
I will check in occasionally to see how you are doing and message me if you run into a problem.
Stay safe and grow well my friend,
Tok..
edit: Are you in the UK by any chance? Just curious.
Not much to report today but the plants did drink a fair amount of water in less than 24 Hrs. .
I water when the soil at the top of the pots is dry to the touch.
I do not measure the water when watering.
I water each pot until the water pools on the surface.
When the first watering has been absorbed then I water a second time until the water pools on the surface.
I don't keep track of just how often I water the plants when flowering but it may be every day and a half or two days, plus or minus.
I did notice that after the latest watering the surface soil got dry to the touch rather quickly. So much so that I was surprised.
If I measured the water and recorded the times of watering then I could say more about it but I will watch for more water consumption after bract swelling.
Following is a detal of a cola:
And following is a bud detail:
And following is as close-up as I could get on the bud:
Notice that the trichomes are still largely clear - so, still some time to go before full ripeness.
Thought the water in-take was significant and should be reported. (today was the guano tea day.)
