Okay, so those of loyal following will remember me taking one of my plants and defoliating it to a fairly extreme level. I didnt shwazz it because thats kind of silly in my opinion, but i didnt show much mercy. The following is a few pics of how its doing now.
The plant is budding, but still showing mega leaves. The buds arent showing any real solidity yet, just larfy leafy sections. We will see in the next few weeks how it goes. Theres approximately 3.5 weeks left. I will be using a bud hardener, so things will change.
I still dont think defoliation will make this plant a winner, again if if does 3 ozs i will be surprised. But, i sort of cant lose here so, im gonna stick with it. And if Flash recommends me to defoliate again i will. This is all for fun with a weak plant. I hope we can learn from this. Its all in fun.

I don't think defo can make drastic change in a grow. Genetics still may play the most important role. Anyway looking at her makes me think the buds will get weight as they grow a lot in the last weeks and sometimes It s hard to believe some larfy buds we were seeing get bigger. I really hope to see that happening here cause the plant looks strong and I m sure she s in good grow conditions with you. Thanks again for sharing!

It s already. This happens in SOG like setup. That s why I truly believe in that conditions defoliation is mandatory otherwise too many stuffs are shaded
I just get the feeling that when I pluck a leaf off I’m allowing all the nutrients and goodness that would have went in that leaf to go somewhere where it could be put to better use. Maybe she yields more or maybe she produces more oil....some interesting terpenes? Idk...but just feels like a better use of that energy!

It s too bad true studies on defoliation on cannabis still have not been made. Some plants have fruits that need direct light to mature. Other don't. Hope studies will be done soon on that
I’m hoping with the changing laws and today’s technology that we will discover so much more and have the abilities to test it all

Youre right genetics are pivotal. This plant will definately thicken up in the comping weeks. It will be fun to watch

These look awesome. I'm so happy for you Flash. You are due for something incredible and I think you've got it. 2nd pic is my favorite. So uniform and you know me, I get excited seeing things nice and even.

Thank you very much for your support. You followed the entire story so you know everything I went through. So still doing my best to do everything well controlled. I hope to see things keep going better and better to be able to share a nice grow journal with you guys!

Yep I want the lower branches to go reach the tallest branches. Want to keep everything even and some want to grow too quickly and still have at least 2.5 weeks to keep stretching
