Not sure I can do anything with what is left of the indoor but not too big of a deal. Thanks for you comments and stopping in...

Sonzor, dayum the bad luck bro. Hope the outdoor plants can make up for it. We are pending a hydro grow shortly, as soon as all the parts have arrived and I get it assembled.

Outdoors plants seem to be going Ok the 100 + temp are taking there toll but I think the end of the week will bring some cooler temps. We will see, thanks for the comments and stopping in..

Thanks weedtastic, your correct no condolences are needed I have been pretty lucky for my first grow and have harvested some great meds. I feel very lucky and blessed to have what I have. I will be babying my last few plants back to health and with some luck and cooler weather they should be fine. Thanks so much for the comments and stopping in..

weedtastic I think if u have to leave. I'd have good timers set and some 1 reliable to monitor and contact me for advice if something's questionable or goes wrong. Had to do it once for a week. I called everyday, like they were my kids. What u think sonzor?

I do agree. I do treat all my plants like they are my little kids with the only exception being that no one knows I have them and the loss of them is not life altering. Although my grow is legal I keep it as quiet as possible. There are too many bad people out there that would love to break in and take it or even worse hurt the ones I love to get it. And no one can be trusted to keep a secret at least not to the extent I do. So bringing someone in to take care of my plants while I am out of town just is not an option for me. And because the state laws and federal laws are not on the same page I keep my family at a safe distance also. So my only option is to figure out a more hands off solution. I think it was just the luck of the draw I had to leave town on the hottest week of the summer and my system was not set up to run a week without attention. Those issues can be fixed and will before I have to leave town again. As much as it sucks to lose some plants that I have babied and worked very hard to keep healthy, Its not the end of the world and they surely can be replaced.

U may want to get a cheap drip system. U have to get a digital timer or u'll flood. a min is too long unless u have a lot of decent sized pots. I tried that first. After I flooded my tent the day b4 I left, I took it down and just had some 1 only worry about water. Its funny how much bigger they look after u've been away as opposed to being there to see them everyday. And ur response to the kids comment was funny.

Sonzor, there has to be a easy fix for this. I will study the problem, and try and suggest a solution. Afterall, it would be nice to automate as much as possible, without the worries of flooding and such. I am thinking intitialy about a 5 gallon bucket (or larger reservoir) connected by a submersible pump ($10-$15 dollars) and a float switch in your main res to turn the pump on and off. The system would have to be activated only when your timer for the main res is off. When your timer is on, and pumping nutes to the plants, the float switch would have to be disabled (normally open position). And likewise, when the timer is off (not pumping) the float switch would turn on (normally closed) if nute levels reach a preset low level, and turn off again when the nute level reaches a normal operating level. I will draw up a schematic tomorrow and detail the wiring.

Come to think of it, most likely will need a float switch and a relay to disable the secondary pump while the main pump and timer are in operation. When the main pump and timer are off, the contacts on the relay will be closed, allowing the float switch to sense a low water level and activate the secondary pump in the backup reservoir. I know how this works, I will now be thinking of a solution all night...lol.

Thanks so much for the ideas. You have me thinking also. I kind of put this on the back burner but now you have the wheels a turning. I will also be up fine tuning and thinking how I can make this all work. Thanks again.

We share *exactly* the same views on these issues bro. It was spooky reading the above because I could have written every word of it.

For future solutions, there is a product called the autopot that is a passive hydro/soil-less system with a large reservoir. It can water plants for weeks.

At least the heat wave seems to be over.

Thanks for stopping and and your comments. I hope its over it is still a little hotter than I would like but at least it dipped below 100 and I thing the worst must surly be over. Thanks again and I will check out the autopot..

A little update. The heat has been unbearable, over 100 for the past two week and it had taken its toll for sure. The plants are still hanging in there. The Super Lemon Haze is not much to look at. Not sure if its the heat, underfeeding or what but I am going to do the best I can to keep growing. Take a look and all advise and comments are always appreciated...

This is my bubble gum that got chewed up by some animal probably my dog when it was a baby. But its making a comeback. Its a boy as you can see which is OK with me. I am going to cross it with my Super Lemon Haze2 and get Some Super Lemon Bubble Haze seeds and grow a few of those over the winter to see what happens.

This is my Super Lemon Haze2 I am going to cross with the Bubble Gum. This was transplanted from the Hydro and has come along very nice.

This is my Papaya2 and it is a trooper. It has made it through the heat and look like its going to produce some pretty thick sticky buds. I thought it had a week or so to go but looking at the pictures it needs to come down ASAP.

If you look closely at this one you can see there is some damage going on in this bud. I am pretty sure its those darn bud worms so I hope it does not to too much damage before I can get it harvested.

This is my Super Lemon Haze, I started her In march so she is over 6 months old. I am not very happy how she is looking and am not sure what to do about it. She is flowering and the top half of the plant is coming along very nice. Its the bottom half I am worried about. Just going to let her go for now and should have some sort of harvest from her in a month or so.

Thanks again for taking a look and giving your comment and suggestions..

Sonzor, I was thinking, is it possible to create some shade for them? Maybe a some sun netting to cool them down a bit? just a thought. I was going through a greenhouse catalog last night and seen sun netting listed. Maybe it would help?

Thanks GMT, Using a shade is not really a option, I am trying to draw the least amount of attention possible, and some kind of shade would draw way to much attention to the plants. Good suggestion, just not an option for me...

That is pretty normal. The plant has reached the genetic limits for an annual. It will put all its energy into the buds now and let the lower portion die off. All the plants that I started in March are doing the same thing but the ones that I started in April/May look great. There really isn't much you can do about it. I just lowered the PH of the actually plant and raised the PH of the soil just to see if the yellowing would reverse. Hasn't seemed to help but the buds are doing great.
