First Time Grower

When ever I add water to the plants medium (after a certain age) I always add nutrients to said water before giving it to them. When I was feeding synthetic liquid nutes to my plants it would give me an option. Cuttings/seedlings, early veg, late veg, early flower, late flower. For what ever stage of life your plant is at I would follow their directions. Say I was in late veg, and it said 5 ml of grow, 8ml micro, and 2 ml bloom (because they were a three part system) per litre of water for late veg. I’d fill up a gallon of water in a watering container. A gallon is roughly 4 litres without getting technical. So 4 x 5ml is 20 ml of grow I would add into a gallon of water. So on and so forth. Then since they’re being fed liquid nutes, giving them a flush to rid all of the salts around the roots before going into flower and before harvest is always recommended
Okay gotcha! So my nutes say for plants with less then 5 sets of leaves put 1ml of micro then 1ml of grow then 1ml of bloom into 1 liter of water. Im thinking 1 liter will feed my 5 solo cups.

That sounds accurate to me. If your mix already has a recommendation on feeding for growth stages that is a great guide. When I believe I might be feeding a little early I always start off soft which I put a little less than the recommended dose. It usually allows for some error in the growth stage IMO.

UPDATE DAY 14
This morning I did my first round of nutes and watered to run off for the first time. I can see roots through the solo cup holes in a couple of them! I also lowered my light a little closer to them now that they are stronger. Thanks again for all the advice thus far and tagging along!

UPDATE DAY 15

Look at them grow! So happy with how its going. Now I just need to figure out the whole water situation. I fed them with nutes and water to run off on saturday morning. The top layer is dry but when i stick my index finger in to the knuckle it is still damp. So probably going to water tomorrow morning again. Do I continue to water with nutes or is that a weekly thing? I am using grow micro bloom from advanced nutrients.

I like judge water content by weight of the pot. You can start off with nutes every other water and watch the plants to see if they need more frequent feedings.

This^

I’m also feeding the plants with nutrients every time I water. With a flush going into flower, to rid of all the salt build up, then flush again right before harvest.... everybody’s different, it’s up to the grower as an individual to find what works best for them.

UPDATE DAY 20

Here is a different view of them for a change. Im worried that my 2 bulb t5 light isn't going to be wide enough now to last me till they go outside lol.
